2-Hour Zodiac Coastal Tour in Lunenburg
Overview
We are the only operator in the area offering guided tours in professional, expedition Zodiacs. These popular, inflatable boats are identical to the ones you would find on expedition ships around the world. (We operate them as polar photographers and expedition guides in Canada’s sub-arctic and Antarctica!)
So what will we see? It is common to see numerous seals, osprey, great blue herons, mink, and deer (among other fauna) as we Explore the South Shore. We’ll also talk about flora, fauna and geology as we cruise Tanner’s Pass, Schooners Cove, Heckman’s Island and the Back Passage to Lunenburg. It truly is one of the prettiest parts of Nova Scotia!

What to expect
This is a typical itinerary for this product
Pass By: 29 Tanner Rd, Lunenburg, NS B0J 2C0, Canada
On the day of your tour, we are located a short, 10 minute drive from downtown Lunenburg. Once you arrive at the Lunenburg Retreat, we'll have you fitted for a PFD before loading up on the Zodiac.
Once we push back from the wharf, we'll have a quick safety briefing and then we'll press on to see what we can find during your 2-hour tour!
It is common to see Atlantic grey seals, osprey, great blue herons, mink, and deer as we explore Tanner's Pass and Lunenburg's Back Passage. However, our true goal is to provide guests an opportunity to learn about flora, fauna and geology in a quieter, less touristy part of beautiful Nova Scotia.

It didn't feel like a tour, it felt like I was hanging out with my best bud while we toured around the bay in his boat. Then we hung out on the dock with drinks and Dad talked about some of the local history. We saw osprey, bald eagles , lots of harbor and Pacific seals. Talked about the geology and geography of the area. Talked about the conservation of the area and the flora and fauna. Great trip ...highly recommend.
