Ana is not just an experienced historian, but also a fascinating storyteller. We learned so much about her home town of Santa Fe, it's history and architecture, and a lot of surprising facts about the connection to Igor Stravinsky and Ben Hur - I'm not going to spoil it. But just as important, she was very thoughtful of my mother who turned 90 during our visit and has limited mobility and heat tolerance, and was able to adjust the tour so we could all enjoy it. She has also authored a number of books available on her website and you get one if you arrange a private tour. I think we may need to get a couple more. I would definitely recommend this tour for anyone coming to Santa Fe.I made a plan with Ana Pacheco, a former historian for the city of Santa Fe, a native, the author of several books, and, most important, a well-organized businesswoman and clear speaker. I made a plan with Ana Pacheco, a former historian for the city of Santa Fe, a native, the author of several books, and, most important, a well-organized businesswoman and clear speaker. We were part of a group of six on a walking tour of about two hours. Our reservation was for two at a reasonable per person rate, and we were joined by four others. I especially appreciated Ana's humanism in understanding the city's historical development. This was definitely one of the best walking tours I have ever taken, and there have been plenty.
