3-Day Chimgan Trekking Tour
Overview
Explore scenic Western Tien Shan Mountains with this 3 days trekking tour that start from Tashkent. The first day of our the trekking starts from Melovoy pass near Chimgan Resort and crossing in total 38km distance (5-7 hours trekking per day) in three days you complete the trek near the village of Shuldak to the northeast of Gazalkent. The costs of the tour include transport, English speaking mountain guide, porters, meals, camping equipment, permits and etc. The trekking tour is suitable for all participants who are in good and healthy shape.

What to expect
Itinerary
Day 1: Tashkent- Melovoy Pass – Beldersay valley
Stop At: Beldersay, Uzbekistan
At 9:00 transfer by car from Tashkent to Chimgan Resort (98km / 1, 5 - 2 hours hours). Start trekking from Melovoy (1796m) pass up to Takhta-Jaylov saddle (2000m). From the saddle descend to Marble River. After an excursion through the valley of Marble River, continue heading up towards Urta Kumbel pass (1850). Descend from Urta Kumbel to Beldersay valley.
Camping in Beldersay valley.
Trekking distance: 8km, 4 hours, ascent 204m, descent 280m
Duration: 4 hours

Day 2: Beldersay Valley – Nurekata valley
Stop At: Beldersay, Uzbekistan
Start ascending from Beldersay valley via Chetkumbel pass (1800m) towards Kubmel pass (2550). On the way see the petroglyph site at 2400m height above sea level (highest point in three days trekking).
From petroglyph site descend towards southwest to Nurekata valley and reach the camping area (1400m).

Trekking distance: 15km, 8 hours, ascent 680m, descent 1000m
Duration: 8 hours

Day 3: Nurekata valley – Shuldak village
Stop At: Beldersay, Uzbekistan
Continue descending in Nurekata valley until reaching the junction of Nurekata and Aksakata rivers. From the junction continue towards the village of Shuldak (1050m). Meet by our driver in Shuldak and be transferred to Tashkent (84km/1, 5 -2 hours).
Trekking distance: 15km, 7 hours, ascent 300, descent 400m
Duration: 7 hours

Additional information
- Not wheelchair accessible
- Your mountain guide is a leader of a group and a representative of our company on the program. Therefore the guide reserves the right to change the route of the trekking in the program due to known safety issues and bad weather conditions. It is the responsibility of the guide to act as a cook for the groups smaller than 5 people.
- Recommended personal equipment/belongings
- All the food, kitchen and camping equipment provided by our company will be transported by animals. The maximum allowed luggage weight is 13kg per person. We advise the participants to have below equipment and wear for the program:
- Backpack
- Trekking shoes
- Warm clothing (for spring and autumn season)
- Head-dress (cap, panama cap etc.)
- Sunglasses
- Sunblock crème
- Not recommended for travelers with back problems
- Flashlight
- Not recommended for pregnant travelers
- No heart problems or other serious medical conditions
- Travelers should have a moderate physical fitness level
- This is a private tour/activity. Only your group will participate

I loved our 3 days trekking with the guide Sher. Great views, stars at night, and so much peace and quiet. Great camp food as well. But boy was it hot (I am English). Totally reccomend. Pick up from our hotel all good. Very well organised. Perfect.

We have just returned from this three day trek and highly recommend it. On the first day we walked along the peaceful Nurekata valley from Shuldak. On the second, we walked up to an unforgettable spot (8,500 feet in altitude) to the ancient petroglyphs on a secondary peak below the towering Greater Chimyon above. On the third, we returned through the trees to the ski resort to return to Tashkent. The trek took us through an interesting variety of scenery. The two nights camping in beautiful riverside spots with a campfire were memorable too (but bring warm clothes as the temperature drops!) Alibek was an excellent guide and Tulkun an excellent cook. Well worth booking this trip!
