My travelling group did the 4 day, 3 night Aswan to Luxor cruise with Khaled. The cruise was allocated a few days beforehand and we were booked on the Beau Soleil. The rooms were spacious, the food was buffet style but varied. All the staff were very friendly and it was amazing to cruise down the Nile with the pleasant weather. The guiding by Khaled was superb and his knowledge of Ancient Egyptian culture was vast - you could tell he knew what he was talking about. He has alot of energy and enthusiasm which really made each site visit fun. There were some reorganisation of the listed itinerary but this allowed us to better spread the visits. We were fortunate enough to be one of the last guests at Luxor Temple and the first at Edfu Temple which made the trips much more enjoyable. We elected to participate in two additional activities - Day 2 Abu Simbel ($80 USD supplement) and Hot Air Balloons ($100 USD supplement). Both were organised "behind the scenes" once we agreed and all that was really required from us was making the early wake ups! The other additional activities we respectfully declined but were pushed a few times more than we hoped. Ultimately the itinerary was ours and we were able to see what we wanted. Seperately, Khaled has integrity - he was transparent with the need to tip and collected a pool at the start to take the hassle away from tipping each and every driver and cruise staff member. He corrected my mistake of handing too much Egyptian Pounds over when creating this pot. For Egypt Best Holidays as a whole, I was in contact with Peter via WhatsApp and he was very attentive with answering my queries beforehand (for both this trip and our one day Giza/Saqqara/Memphis tour). We did a 4 day, 3 night tour starting in Aswan ending in Luxor and was a highlight of our 2 week holiday to Egypt! We did a 4 day, 3 night tour starting in Aswan ending in Luxor and was a highlight of our 2 week holiday to Egypt! Khaled was a very knowledgeable guide being an Egyptologist, he had very interesting facts and showed us all the unique and “insider” spots at all the attractions. We did the optional trip to Abu Simbel which cost an additional $80 USD and a 4:15am start but was worth it as was absolutely amazing! We also did the optional hot air ballooning in Luxor for an additional $100 USD and had the most spectacular sunrise with a great pilot - this was through Sindbad company. The boat was Beau Soleil however the boat allocation will vary depending on the day - the boat cruise was fantastic, the staff were attentive and friendly and there were many delicious food options at the buffet. There were many optional activities we did not partake in, it did feel like these were being pushed on us and the itinerary adjusted for these without consultation, rather than being asked if we wanted to do them and we had to say no multiple times. Overall an excellent tour I would recommend! Our tour guide Hany Yassen was outstanding. He is very knowledgeable, funny and kind. He showed us the Valley of the Kings along with many Temples in the area. He made histo6very enjoyable. We highly recommend him.
