Day 1: El Calafate
Stop At: El Calafate Airport, Santa Cruz Province, Argentina
Upon arrival at El Calafate Airport, you’ll be transported to your hotel (shared service).
Duration: 40 minutes
Stop At: El Calafate, Santa Cruz Province, Argentina
After check-in, you have the rest of the day free to explore local shops and restaurants around town, or venture outside El Calafate to surrounding areas like Laguna Nimez, where you’ll see a beautiful sunset (the front desk personnel at your hotel can give you information on transportation, hiking and more).

Day 2: El Calafate - Full-Day Perito Moreno Glacier with Boat Tour Included
Stop At: Perito Moreno Glacier, Los Glaciares National Park Argentina
After pickup at your hotel in Calafate, you will go on a scenic drive to Los Glaciares National Park (shared service). As you ride along the Patagonian steppe for 40 km (25 miles) your guide will provide some relevant information about the park which houses the majestic Perito Moreno glacier.
Upon arrival at Los Glaciares National Park, your guide will explain the different walkway options so that you can tour them at your own pace.
Duration: 1 hour 10 minutes
Stop At: Pasarelas Perito Moreno, Parque Nacional Los Glaciares, El Calafate 9405 Argentina
The National Park features a system of walkways that allows visitors to have access to various viewing balconies that showcase the glacier from different angles. After roaming through the walkways, you will meet with your guide at the specified time to go on a boat ride. (Please note that depending on your navigation departure time you may sail first and visit the walkways afterwards).
Duration: 4 hours
Stop At: Lago Argentino, El Calafate Argentina
For a totally different perspective of this impressive glacier, you will take a 1-hour boat ride through Rico Branch of Lago Argentino. Watch closely to see slabs of ice detach from the glacier and slide into the surrounding lake. As you sail along the massive glacier wall that rises 240 feet above Argentino lake, and in between floating icebergs, your guide will continue to provide information about this natural wonder. After you finish exploring the park, relax on the returning drive to El Calafate, where your full day tour will conclude in the early evening.
**OPTIONAL: If you would prefer to upgrade your tour to include the Mini-Trekking or Big Ice excursions, both of which allow you to hike the glacier, please write it down in the special requirements box (while booking) and we’ll quote it for you.

This was a very good day trip from El Calafate to Perito Moreno Glacier. Everything was as described in the pre tour information. One was able to walk and explore as much as or as little as one desired at the park site. The scenery was beautiful. The tour guide spoke easy to understand English. The driver was friendly and drove well. Additionally, the hour boat ride provided a different, but interesting, view of the glacier. Hotel was nice and staff there friendly and helpful.
