Meet Sicilian traders and chefs in typical Sicilian Food & Wine bars and restaurant and hear recipe secrets from the people behind Sicilian's oldest food traditions absorbed by the marvelous frame of Taormina’s old town! The Tour takes you into the historic Taormina’s old city centre, and ideal place to get a real taste of Taormina. Savour its delicious food, soak in its vibrant culture, and meet the people who keep so many wonderful Food&Wine traditions alive.
Meeting at Porta Messin at 18.30, the entrance ancient gate of Corso Umberto, find the best food spots in town on a 3 hours Taormina Food&Wine Tour! Led by a local Food&Wine loving guide, your tour includes several typical Sicilian Food&Wine tastings as you explore Taormina's foodie neighborhoods.
You will visit 3 different venues:

Stop At: Savoca, Savoca, Province of Messina, Sicily
Our Licensed Guide will meet you at 10.00 AM in the lobby of Your accommodation in Taormina, Giardini Naxos or Letojanni.
After 20 minutes driving with 8 seats air-conditioned Mercedes minivan you will reach Forza D’Agrò, a real and authentic small Sicilian village. Take a Walking tour of the old town and visit the places where The Godfather movie was played.
After a Walking tour of the village with explanation of Sicilian authentic culture and way of leaving You will drive towards Savoca, the second Sicilian small village where the movie was played. The famous Bar Vitelli where Michael Corleone met the father of his future wife Apollonia. Then walk 5 minutes to reach Saint Lucy Church where they got married. While taking the Walking tour Your Guide will introduce you the real history of Sicilian Mafia, how it grows up and spread very fast all around Italy. You will listen about the real structure (cupola), about its Boss and about the Mafia clan wars to control the territory.

Start this wonderful culinary tour at 10am, with a pick up from your accommodation by a native authorized local guide/driver . Small group is guaranteed. You will continue your trip driving through quaint Sicilian Villages, admiring local and authentic lava-stone houses, listen charming stories about Sicilian culture, tradition and food. Here You enjoy views on the best Etna vineyards surrounded by frames of lava stones. You will stop at the first venue, an antique family running winery, where You will be welcomed by the owner with a glass of cool rose Prosecco. We had the absolute best time on all of our tours with Sicily activities! We cannot rave enough about our guides, they were amazing. Valerio, Carlos and Denise were beyond knowledgeable, kind, accommodating and fun. We were traveling with our 1 year old baby and they were so sweet to make sure that baby was happy the entire time. The walking food and history tour of Taormina was incredible, full of amazing eats and tons of history. The Etna wine tour was incredible with the best views, snacks, wine and lunch afterwards. Our tour to Syracuse and Ortigia was stunning. There was so much history to see in such a beautiful town, capped off with a beautiful lunch. The Godfather tour was also so fun, we saw so many of the places in the movie and soaked in all of the beauty and history, also with an amazing lunch. We can’t say enough about the company and how wonderful they were always checking in to make sure we were happy. We highly recommend this company, their fabulous tours and most amazing guides to make your trip to Sicily complete!Indybag

This is a very good choice because you do save money by booking the three together and these tours covered most of what we wanted to do in Taormina. We did the food tour on our first evening. The guide, Salvo, was excellent; really interestiung, entertaining and interested in his guests. He's clearly passionate about his job, friendly and highly professional. He allowed the different parties on the tour to mix and enjoy each otehrs company. The three stops were all very good; nice food and wine and all explained clearly. The second trip was the Etna food and wine tour. We were lucky to have Salvo again and again he managed to get all of the differnt parties talking and enjoying the day. The winery was beautful with excellent service, generous tastings and delicious food. This was followed by a stop at a beautiful restaurant, again with great local wine and a tasty meal. The final trip was the Godfather tour - fun, informative, a nice meal and an interesting guide (sorry I don't recall his name).Max W

Taormina is a jewel of a city and Sicily Activities helped make it special. Antonio and Valerio are great ambassadors and excellent tour guides. The walking wine and Godfather tours were a highlight.
