We were picked up at Puerto Maldonado's bus terminal early in the morning as we came with a night bus from Cusco, and then went to our lodge. The first day we were with approximately 50 peruvians, as we were there during the national holidays. But then it became a smaller group of less than 10 people, which was more enjoyable. When we went to see the parrots there was a lot of fog, so we were allowed to go again the next day, and that time no fog! Also, the food was really great, all being local. The two guides we had spoke a great english and were really friendly. We saw a lot of animals: monkeys, parrots, tarantulas, giant otters, crocodiles, a friendly boar.. The number of activities available was maybe not enough for a four day trip, I would rather recommend staying three days. Some people of our group did that, and I don't really think that they missed anything. But it was a pleasant experience and I definitely recommend that place.Hi all, Through this review I would like to appreciate and give compliments to one of the guides: Louis. Hi all, Through this review I would like to appreciate and give compliments to one of the guides: Louis. He was an amazing guide who told passionately about his job, the jungle, local customs and everything else on the trip. Louis was constantly on the look-out for everything our group needed during those days. And we appreciated that. In the end we had a great experience and a lot can be credited to his guidance.Good trip from start to finish. Loved everything about it. Well organised and it was amazing to see the Amazon rainforest and river.
