This guided tour of trekking through the Himalayas was an experience that I will never forget. Roman, who set up the tour for us in the office, was exceptionally easy to work with. Deepak was our guide, and I cannot recommend him highly enough. He is extremely knowledgeable, very helpful, and we never felt unsafe. He speaks four languages fluently also, including perfect English. Please be aware, I am not a young man, and he was always considerate of my limitations. Slow and easy and I/we made it to over 10,000 feet climbing to our destination. The views in the Himalayas are truly breathtaking, and we were lucky enough that it was clear when we made it to the top of Poon Hill, thus being able to see all the peaks. The accommodations throughout the trek were totally acceptable, especially considering the circumstances. We have trekked all over the world, for example in Patagonia in South America, in Alaska, numerous places in North America beyond count, in Scandinavia and many places in Europe…. And this trek through the Himalayas was absolutely spectacular, and it was successful specifically because of the team at Breathe Nepal trekking. They absolutely deserve the highest rating possible. With Roman, we went on a hike up Poonhill, and it was breathtakingly magnificent! With Roman, we went on a hike up Poonhill, and it was breathtakingly magnificent! At this time of year, hiking on the Poon Hill Trail is breathtakingly gorgeous. The reason for this is the enormous rhododendron trees that surround us and the mountain vista, which are trees that we are used to seeing here as small bushes. They are enormous and in full bloom in March, which makes the surroundings incredibly vibrant. I experienced a dreamlike feeling. Red and pink flowers were everywhere, with large, snow-covered mountains in the background. I started crying because it was so gorgeous. a truly exceptional experience. We are grateful to Breathe Nepal Trekking for the wonderful experience. Roman, see you around.Definitely do this trek!! We signed up with Roman for a 5-day trek to Poon Hill but ended up extending for a few extra days because we had such an amazing time. Roman is so knowledgable about the area and knows all of the guesthouses and people along the way, not to mention he is a super experienced guide. We always felt very safe and comfortable with the plans for the day. Roman would let us know how long we would be trekking, the level of difficulty, what we needed etc. and we could easily adjust the plan according to our preferences. Although we were a little unlucky with the weather, we still had an unbelievable time and will definitely be back.Incredibly beautiful! Incredibly beautiful! Trekking on the Poon Hill Trail is incredibly beautiful at this time of year. The reason for this are the huge rhododendron trees, which we know here only as small bushes. Here they are huge and are in full bloom in March. I felt like in a beautiful dream. Everywhere the red and pink colored flowers and in the background the snow-covered big mountains. It was so beautiful that it brought tears to my eyes. An absolutely unique experience. The hiking trial with the destination Poonhill is highly recommended. We walked it in 5 days, which means that we hiked about 5 to 6 hours a day. This was very good because it gave us enough time to take breaks, take picture and enjoy the breathe taking nature. The absolut highlights ia the sunrise on the mountain Poonhill from which you have a fantastic view of Annapurna massif and the day in the village Ghandruk. It is the very beautiful village and you are awakened there in the morning by the great songs that are played over the speaker in the village. At the night time it is very cold so we also recommend the warm innerwear and the warm sleeping bags. And we definately recommend our guide Roman and his agency Breathe Nepal Trekking. We are really lucky to have him as our Guide. A very nice, kind and caring person.
