5 DAYS Omo VALLEY TOUR FROM JINKA
Overview
We will make sure you enjoy each tribe as much as you want. In the brief program below, you will be visiting at least 4 different tribes: Mursi, Hammer, Karo, Dassanech. We will also try to take you to Banna and Ari, but it depends on the time and days you arrive.
Market includes Key’Afer and Demekka: you will visit all markets possible during the tour. Ceremonies, we cannot guarantee you a Bull-jumping festival because it depends on their program: usually it happens and you need to be a little lucky to see it so we do not include that in the price.

Degu is a fantastic guide, very knowledgeable and service-oriented. This is a challenging region to travel in and he addresses all issues promptly and thoroughly. Degu understands local culture and tribal societies and politics as only a local guide can. He is consistently helpful and always checks in with you to make sure you’re getting the most out of your experience. The region itself is interesting, with various unique tribal customs, markets, towns and wildlife. I was fortunate enough to witness the bull jumping ceremony, for example. It’s definitely a place that rewards an open and adventurous spirit, and Degu makes it all a genuine pleasure. Compliments also to our driver, Abi, who navigated the local roads and pathways well and was always courteous and smiling. Great job, guys! Grazie Degu!Simply life changing experience visiting Omo Valley and all it’s indigenous tribes with my amazing guide, Degu Hable. Simply life changing experience visiting Omo Valley and all it’s indigenous tribes with my amazing guide, Degu Hable. This guy is not just a guide, he quickly becomes your friend and does his best to ensure you have the best time. Degu knows a lot about the history and culture in the region and he was patient to answer all of my questions. Thanks to him, we had an incredible time with Mursi tribe, and even spent the whole day in their village interacting with them and learning about this entirely different world. Nairobi is one of the most honest and sincere among the guides there, and I recommend getting in touch with him, you can get him by calling his local Ethiopian number on +251932714797 or on whatapp on the same number. While we were touring the Omo Valley, we found time to eat lots of delicious and local food, as well as drink lots of tea and coffee. Degu is so cool to hang out with but also gives you your own space. Degu really is a credit to Omo Valley tour guides, I have a lot of experience with tours and tour guides all over the world and Degu is a one of the nicest and best I’ve met. Degu is a big reason why this tour is so amazing for visitors, he makes the tour a better environment and keeps it moving forward. He’s like a minor celebrity around Omo Valley and Jinka, it seems everybody there knows him. I have witnessed first hand him helping me out and I’m proud to call this man a friend. He is very chilled out, open minded, cool, knowledgeable and practical character, these traits are all good assets for a great tour guide. Honestly, Degu, is just a first class and if you ever get the chance to meet him, his amazing family or his friends, or do one of his tours, then definitely do it, he will have a positive effect on your life. Much love and thanks again, Brother! Dan! ❤️Degu is a friendly and knowledge guide in Jinka. I've joined with him 3 days to visit some tribes, it's great experience.
