We spent a fantastic day exploring Kyoto with Peter. He planned an amazing itinerary for us showcasing the best attractions in Kyoto and keeping our kids, ages 17, 16 and 11, happy, engaged and safe. He was thoughtful about the amount of cycling that our 11-year-old could manage and customized an itinerary that worked beautifully. Peter’s commentary throughout the tour gave us a deeper understanding of the historical and cultural significance of what we were seeing. The bikes were exceptionally clean, well maintained, and comfortable for the 32km of cycling we covered. If your family is considering a bicycle tour in Kyoto, we can’t recommend Kyoto Bike Tour highly enough. It was truly a highlight of our trip to Japan!Highly recommend booking this tour! We only had 2 days in Kyoto so it was a great way to see the top 5 sites in a short period of time. We did 40KM's, do you want to make sure you're fit enough to keep up (although we had lots of breaks) Ray was a fantastic guide. He took lots of great photos a...

This bike tour was the highlight of a 2 week Japan trip. We went with our teenagers and it was amazing to cover so much ground in the day and wonderful to get all over Kyoto where you can see neighborhoods and bike along beautiful canals and parks. Even the teens loved it! And Ray was super knowledgeable, made things fun for everyone, was really accommodating and took amazing photos of our family. I would highly recommend you book this tour. Fantastic tour. My wife and I joined this tour lead by Ray in late March 2023 (during Sakura season). Ray was very patient with our group and very knowledgeable on every location we visited. He also gave some great recommendations on where to eat and drink in Kyoto. Would highly recommend for anyone that has very little time in Kyoto but wants to see as much as possible (and who is happy cycling to do it)!Best tour ever! We stayed in Japan for little more than a week and booked the majority of tours via Viator (tripadvisor) this was our 3rd tour and it was the best by far from any other tour during our stay. Best tour ever! We stayed in Japan for little more than a week and booked the majority of tours via Viator (tripadvisor) this was our 3rd tour and it was the best by far from any other tour during our stay. Our tour guide Ray was so special he took AMAZING pictures and knew the spots and best scenic views 💕 i cant recommend enough his guidance and him as a tour guide. We did the 1-day bike tour (warning you will be pedaling!!) but its the only way to really hit all the best spots and views. Super recommended! We learned a lot from him. He is super caring and went as far as calling his wife to help us book the best place to experience Kaiseki in Kyoto 💕
