There are also some potters who always help with the carrying of the luggage on behalf of the visitors but at a small extra cost. It’s always not easy to predict how long gorilla tracking will take and this also depends on the location of some families since some of them are far from the park headquarters. We could not have asked for a better tour guide in Uganda than Ronald. When we had issues with our connection flight, he organised someone to pick us up from RWANDA in order to get us there to the gorilla trekking on time. He was friendly, helpful, so knowledgeable and even when my bag got lost at the airport, he managed to rescue it for me. The tour was reasonably priced and all the accommodation they chose for us was wonderful. We got taken to have some local food and really have made a friend for life. Can’t wait to return. We had a really good experience with Ronald! He was the perfect Guide. He tried to help and recommended us everytime. We suggest to go and have a great safari experience with him!!! Thanks for everything Ronald! We’ll come back as soon as possible!!!

Ronald organised a fabulous 4 day whistlestop tour of west Uganda for me. He was super prompt replying to any email, and outlines various options for me to choose from. The gorilla trekking was of course a highlight, only topped off by being rugby-tackled to the ground by a baby gorilla which was amazing. Although Ronald didn't accompany me on the tour, he organised for Grace (one of Uganda's very few female tourist guides) to escort me around. Grace was a fount of knowledge and some very amusing stories. Thanks to Grace I sampled the local matoke (mashed up banana) which was far more tasty than I would have thought. She also tackled the Uganda roads with ease which is no mean feat. Many thanks to both Ronald and Grace. I look forward to my next trip!Ronald was an experienced and very social tour guide. Ronald was an experienced and very social tour guide. His knowledge gave us an extra dimension to this journey and we learned a lot about Uganda life. The chimpanzee walk was great, so as the game drive in Queen Elisabeth National Park. But the highlite was, of course, the gorilla trek. To be able to sit within 2 m from a silverback was just amazing! But the safari was so much more than just the animals. The every day life of Uganda was just as amazig to be part of, and Ronald stopped wherever we wanted to, e.g I had a skirt sewed in one of the villages where we stopped. We also tried different food along the way; i never had banana beer before :) The lodges were excellent and an extra plus for The Bush Lodge, where we had Hippos crunching into our lodge, what a great experience!! Ronald have wifi in the car, which was great, and aircondition and water bottles, so no lack of that. We had an extra day in Entebbe before we left, and a tip is to take some days extra just to relax before you get home, the safari is great but also very busy. It would have been great to just relax for some days before going home. Uganda is a very nice and pleasant country. We felt very welcome of the locals and felt safe to stroll around. we will definitely come back again! There is nothing bad to say about this company and their tours. It was just perfect. There is nothing bad to say about this company and their tours. It was just perfect. First Ronald immediately answered our emails and tailored a special tour for us. Ronald then came and met us at Lake Bunyonyi before he handed us over to our extremely helpful guide Reward. Reward certainly was like his name. We couldn't have asked for a better guide or driver. He was enthusiastically commenting on all the birds and animals we encountered. All the time he was thinking of our needs and is certainly the best and most careful driver I have encountered on the African continent. Also the value for money must be mentioned. We took the budget option but the food and accommodation was definitely a higher standard than we expected. Reward took us to the incredible Bwindi Impenetrable National Park where we were rewarded with a close up encounter with the rare mountain gorillas after a very strenuous hike. We also got to see chimps, hippos and lions in Queen Elizabeth Park.Ronald from Kajie was extremely quick to respond to messages & emails right from the first contact up until we arrived. Ronald from Kajie was extremely quick to respond to messages & emails right from the first contact up until we arrived. He was very happy to reorganise the tour to suit our available time, and also change things when asked during the tour. My partner injured his leg before we left, and Ronald was happy to change some of our activities, and did his best to ensure our rooms/tents were close to the restaurants and so forth, to make life easier for us. He picked us up from the airport, was with us the entire time, and dropped us back at the end of our tour. All our accommodation was lovely, and the meals were excellent. There were some long driving days, but that was due to all that we wanted to fit into our time in Uganda. We saw the gorillas, chimps and plenty of wildlife in various parks, as well as lovely scenery and some interesting cultural experiences. I would recommend Ronald and Kajie to my friends, and have done so! P.S. Ronald even had a WiFi modem in his vehicle, and he was happy for us to use it in camp at night which was lovely.
