Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Tashkent, pick up from airport

Stop At: Uzbekistan State Museum of Applied Art, Rakatboshi st. 15, Tashkent 100031 Uzbekistan
Your sightseeing in Tashkent will start visiting old Tashkent to see the 16thBarak-Khan Madrasah complex for your first look at the ubiquitous and glorious ceramic tile work, and the MuiMuborak Library of 16th century with an original Koran handwritten on vellum in the 7th century. Lunch, then we’ll see the Applied Arts Museum, which showcases some of the best historical-artistic examples of the arts of Uzbekistan, in the mansion of the Imperial Russian diplomat Alexander Polovtsev. He commissioned the intricately decorated mansion expressly to house his extensive collections of unique handicrafts and textiles. After the Soviet revolution, the government nationalized his cherished home and opened it to the public as a museum. Polovtsev’s rare examples of folk art such as vintage ceramics, handmade rugs, and wood carvings are on display in the wondrous house with its colorfully decorated ceilings.

We drive in the old part of Tashkent and stop at Chorsu market and see Kukeldash madrasah of 16th century.

Day 2: fast train Afrosian ride from Tashkent to Samarkand at 0800-1010

Stop At: Registan St регистан, Samarkand 140164 Uzbekistan
We will visit one of the pearls of Uzbekistan, a historical site called Registan with 3 madrasahs of 15, 16th and 18 th centuries.

Stop At: Gur Emir Mausoleum, Oksaroi St. 1, Samarkand 140164 Uzbekistan
Gur Emir is the mausoleum of Amir Temur and his teacher and grandchildren located in Samarkand.
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Bibi-Khanym Mosque, MX6J+72W, Bibikhonim Str, Samarqand, Uzbekistan
Bibihanim mosque was built in 14th century as one of the great mosques in Central Asia. it is named after a favourite wife of Amir Temur.
Duration: 45 minutes

Stop At: Shah-i-Zinda, Samarkand Uzbekistan
The necropolis of Shahi Zinda is a holy place for Muslims of Uzbekistan because it has a grave of Kusam Ibn Abbas and all relatives of Temur, his sisters, aunts, architect, and generals.
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Ulugbek Madrasah, Registan Square, Samarkand 140164 Uzbekistan
You will visit the observatory of Ulughbek, grandson of Temur who ruled in the empire in the 15th century and at the same time, he was one of the well-known Astronomy scientists and mathematicians.

Day 3: Samarkand to Bukhara by fast train Afrosiab

Stop At: Lyab-i-Hauz, B. Nakshabandi, Bukhara Uzbekistan
After arrival in Bukhara, we will proceed to a walk tour in the old town and visit Laby Hauz complex with Nadir Devan Begi madrasah, Canada, and Kukeldash madrasah.
Duration: 2 hours

Stop At: Poi Kalyan Mosque, Khodja Nurobobod Street, Bukhara Uzbekistan
Kalyan mosque and minaret were built in 13 century before Mongols' invasion of Central Asia. It was the biggest mosque in Central Asia. Now it is a historical site of Uzbekistan and main symbol of Bukhara.
Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Ark of Bukhara, Afrosiab St, Bukhara Uzbekistan
Ark, citadel of Bukhara emirs dating back to 1-2 centuries AD. It is the main square of the city with city walls, museums, where they display historical artifacts of Bukhara.
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Ismail Samani Mausoleum, QCG2+Q6W, Bukhara, Uzbekistan
A unique building dating back to 9-10 centuries where it hosts the tomb of Ismail Samany , the first local Khan who ruled the central Asia in 10th century. Brick works of the mausoleum are unique design.
Duration: 45 minutes

Day 4: Bukhara full day city tour

Stop At: Chasma Ayub Mausoleum, Pistaskkanon St, Bukhara Uzbekistan
The mausoleum of Chashmai Ayub dates back to the 9th century AD. It is considered to be one of the first mausoleums built during the Arabs invasion. We will also visit Ismail Somoni Mausoleum. The first Islamic ruler of Central Asia.
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Palace of Moon-like Stars (Sitorai-Mokhi-Khosa), Bukhara Uzbekistan
Summer palace of the last emir of Bukhara built by a Russian architect and designed in European style.
Duration: 1 hour

Day 5: Drive to khiva through Kyzylkum desert 500 km

Stop At: Khiva, Uzbekistan
Today we have a journey to Khiva via Kyzylkum desert. We will pass Amudary river (Oxus) and arrive in Khiva late afternoon.
Duration: 6 hours

Accommodation included: overnight in 3 star hotel in Khiva, Ichan kala old fortress.

Day 6: Khiva full day city tour

Stop At: Itchan Kala, Khiva Uzbekistan
Khiva, once famous for its slave trade and ruthless emirs, is the most intact and the most remote of Central Asia’s Silk Road cities. The Soviets removed the residents, restored the city and made it an ‘open air’ museum. Happily, since independence, the old families have moved back and life is vibrant once again within the baked mud walls.
There is a wonderful carpet shop in Khiva with unique silk carpets and suzani inspired by the designs of the tiles and doors of the city. We will spend the day exploring more of Khiva and visiting Juma Mosque, Kukhana Ark Shir, Gaza Khan Madrasaand some favorite mosques and madrasas.

Day 7: Drive to Ayazkala, Topraqkala and Nukus.

Stop At: Ayaz-Kala, Ellikqala District of Karakalpakstan Uzbekistan
Today after breakfast we head to the north of Uzbekistan and en route to Nukus we will visit Ayazkala fortress, Topraqkala and Chilpik attractions dating back to 1-2 centuries AD.
Duration: 2 hours

Stop At: The Karakalpakstan State Museum of Art named after I.V. Savitsky, Rzayev Street, Nukus Uzbekistan
The museum is the 2nd largest museum of Avant-Garde Art and displays the artifacts of Karakalpakstan folklore arts and paintings.
Duration: 2 hours

Day 8: Departure from Tashkent

Stop At: Tashkent, Tashkent, Tashkent Province
Transfer to airport for your return flight home. End of Services.
