Steven is a professional guide. Easy to communicate with, prompt, pro-active and trust-worthy. We had a great time exploring this part of the Silk Road, Steven knew the best way to maximize our visit, he prepared us well about what to expect on each stop and listened intently to what our preferences were. All in all, a great way to explore the less travelled places in China. When we do this part of China again, I will surely get in touch with Steven! The entire tour was well planned with experienced guides. Hotel accommodation is possibly best in location and buses are clean & comfortable. The meals are also very good with various variety offered. If anyone considering a tour to Dunhaung, this tour is a good option to choose for.

My students (from a U.S. private University) and I had a study tour of the Silk road. Steven, our soft-spoken tour guide, did a fantastic job!! Thank you very much, Steven!!! He provided great information about each location we visited, and he managed the group (over 30 people) so well that we had adequate time for every place we visited, and for every activity we engaged in. Steven was very punctual, paid attention to details, and engaged well with the group. The accommodations he arranged, and the restaurants were we ate, were simply the best! During our overnight train from Lanzhou to Dunhuang, he somehow made it happen that the group members stayed together in the cabins. This was awesome and relaxing! Steven recommended great local snacks for the group to experience in the night market in Zhangye; and he gave souvenirs to all the group members. That was pretty cool of him, and very well appreciated!! Steven is very knowledgeable about the Gansu province, and he provided solid answers to my many questions about the province, including questions about random observations I had, while we were on the train back to Lanzhou. In a nutshell, Steven was great!!! Thank you Steven again for a wonderful experience.I had Steven as a tour guide when I came to Gansu Province with my university. I had Steven as a tour guide when I came to Gansu Province with my university. He was an exceptional tour guide who knew an expansive amount of knowledge about every location we went to. He organized activities for us that weren't commercialized tourist traps, which created an authentic Chinese experience for this northwestern area. He brought us to fancy restaurants with exceptional service, and the most delicious dishes. We hiked the Gobi Desert yet also found entertainment in local neighborhoods and markets. Steven knew the areas so well, we were always eager to find out what the next day held. I trusted Steven wholeheartedly to guide me through this province, and his service and knowledge paved the foundation of an unforgettable week.It seems difficult to find a better tour operator and guide in Gansu Province than Kang Jinxin (or Steven, if you have trouble pronouncing Chinese names). It seems difficult to find a better tour operator and guide in Gansu Province than Kang Jinxin (or Steven, if you have trouble pronouncing Chinese names). Do you need a vehicle? A place to sleep? Do you need advice what to see? Steven has all the answers ready for you and in case he hasn't, he will move Heaven and Earth to find one. And by the way, he knows the best places to eat all around Gansu! Our group of 10 peoples and friends from Switzerland really appreciated his services and we warmly recommend him.
