We were met ashore in Akaroa with a friendly welcome and to our surprise we were upgraded and we got to go to Christchurch as well. We toured the Banks Peninsula absolutely amazing views. In Christchurch we were able to see how much has happened to rebuild the city after the 2009 earthquake, it has been a mammoth task and much has happened since we visited in 2014. It is a beautiful city. We then came back to Akaroa and visited The Giants House. If you only do one thing in Akaroa this is a must, the owner has created a home & garden beyond belief. It was amazing. Overall, we thouroughly recommend this tour.Great interesting tour, but the real shock was the Giants House. Wonderful art and garden interspersed. Witty and colourful. Highly recommend

Scotty was our guide - he was fantastic!!! Modified our tour as the low cloud made the hilltop view obsolete. Took us on a lovely drive along the coastline and gave an absolutely tremendous Maori history lesson!!! The Giants House is awesome and well worth the visit. We had the option of staying for longer and walking back to port - which isn’t far BUT it is steep. You have to walk up a very steep driveway to get to the house and then down that same driveway- even if you only have minor mobility issues - it can be difficult (my knee is still aching 3 days later - but it was worth it)entertaining and informative I would happily book with this company again. Professional form start to finish

We took the Akaroa Harbour & Giants House Local Tour and had a great time. The tour company met us at the dock and our bus was there waiting. OUr tour guide was pleasant, friendly and knew the area extremely well. We made several stops along the way and had plenty of time for photos with awesome views of Akaroa harbor from the mountains. The tour finished with a grand tour of the Giants House. This was an amazing place and the gardens were beautiful. Again, plenty of time to take pictures and enjoy the house and gardens at your pace. We were dropped off in town and had several hours to walk through Akaroa and enjoy the shops and scenery. Great way to see Akaroa. Highly recommend this tour.
