Finca La Victoria, named after the Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, it is a coffee farm founded by a group of English engineers in 1892. Located around 2600 ft above sea level, it is one of the oldest coffee farms in Colombia. Moreover, it is interesting how they managed to keep using the same machines and procedures all over the years without compromising the quality and quantity of their organic and first-class coffee beans. Get to know the whole coffee production process from the picking stage to the packaging and distribution.
This fascinating organic coffee farm moves tons of coffee beans around 148 acres using gravity, pipelines and machines they imported 100 years ago, and on top of that, no animals are used in any single step of the process.

We booked this tour, because it looked really interesting, but we got more! Juan is an amazing tour guide. He loves his job, is with full passion and have a great mood. For pictures he offered to stop everywhere (if possible). So at first we visited the coffee farm. The English tour guide was not available, so Juan did the tour for us, it was funny and we got all the information we were interested and wanted to know. The coffee and the farm is really good. Then we went to the waterfall and it is a beautiful area. We took some pictures, discussed about camera and swam! Unfortunately the food was not so good, so Juan was really mad and discussed it with the owner. We had a great time and can recommend it!We hired Juan Carlos for 2 days to do 2 tours from our base in Santa Marta to Minca and Tayrona National Park. We were really pleased with his service. Juan Carlos truly made our experience in both Santa Marta and Minca incredible! Before we arrived in Santa Marta, he was in touch with us via Whatsapp to confirm times and dates. You could immediately tell he was very professional. He was also a great resource when it came to asking other questions about our trip to Colombia outside of visit to Minca (tips for visiting Tayrona National Park and traveling between Cartagena and Santa Marta). On the day of our trip, he was on time and had great energy. Through out the course of the day, he was very knowledgeable, made us feel safe, and also was accommodating to our preferences. For example, we wanted to go on a bit of a longer hike, so he took us to Marinka Waterfalls in the afternoon, which were gorgeous. On our way down from the hike, I took a bit of a tumble and had a cut on my knee. He readily had a first aid kit, and even offered to take me to a clinic. I didn't need to, but appreciated the generosity and care. Spending the day touring with Juan Carlos was one of the highlights of our week long trip to Colombia. We would recommend him to any of our friends and family. Thank you JC!We picked Bukap Travels based on the tripadvisor reviews, and can confirm that they are all true. We picked Bukap Travels based on the tripadvisor reviews, and can confirm that they are all true. We had a great day out (visiting the coffee plantation and waterfalls) with Juan Carlos as our guide. He has a very good standard of English, excellent knowledge about everything in Colombia (politics, history, geography...) and drives very safely. He is also very keen on his job and is full of enthusiasm. His choice of restaurant for lunch was also good. Book him, you won’t be disappointed! We hired Juan Carlos for his Santa Marta to Minca tour. We hired Juan Carlos for his Santa Marta to Minca tour. Juan Carlos is an excellent guide - he speaks excellent English, was very knowledgable about all things Colombian and was pleasant company to spend the day with. Minca is a nice change from the heat and humidiy of Santa Marta and the coast. It is a cute mountain town with excellent dining options. The coffee plantation tour was very informative - amazing to see 100 year+ old machinery and engineering at work. The two waterfalls were easy hikes and refreshing to swim in. Key notes for the trip are that the roads are exceptionally rough after Minca (ride in a 4x4) and make sure you bring bug spray ! We would definitley do tours again with Juan Carlos if we returned to Santa Marta area.
