We did the zip lining, rapelling and also tubing with Go Adventure. Wouldn’t recommend. Originally all was going well, however we had an unfortunate experience where I was told to go too early on one of the zip lines by one of the guides. The briefing states that they will use the brake on the line or will ask you to brake yourself with your glove via hand signals. We never once saw them give the hand signal for braking. The guide at the other end didn’t have enough time following the previous person (my husband) in order to reset the emergency brake or to tell me to brake as he was busy still unclipping my husband. I consequently hit a metal pole and hurt my leg, and was very lucky to to hit myself harder or on any other part of my body. It was very unsafe and unprofessional of them. They were rushing the whole experience and we were only a group of 8 - they needed to slow down so that it’s safe. We did receive a lot of apologies, but that’s not good enough when someone could get seriously hurt. We then did the tubing, and it wasn’t as advertised. We stopped and started between rapids as only one person can go down at a time, and then you weren’t given much instruction other than to go, resulting in lots of flipping by everyone (only 6 of us) and some serious bruises. It also only lasted 45 minutes - much less than the 2 hours sold to us. The tribal experience is just them trying to sell you products. Oh also, they will tell you to leave your phone behind for ziplining, but the guys on site actually say to bring it so don’t listen to the guys at the counter. Didn’t do the hot springs in the end as we’re ready to go home and lie down.MY ADVICES 1. 👟 Shoes : do not wear the water shoes (which me and my my friend did). MY ADVICES 1. 👟 Shoes : do not wear the water shoes (which me and my my friend did). I lost one of my shoes because the river stream was too strong that day, my left shoe followed the flow. My boyfriend also lost his right shoe when he flipped. I would recommend closed toe shoes, those are tight enough in the water. 2. 👖 Pants : for rappelling part, short pants are not recommended because the safety rope might rub against your thighs (near you private part). So, it's better to wear long or crop sporty pants. MY EXPERIENCE I had Antonio and Marlon helping us with the ziplinning and rappelling. They are super devoted and helpful. They are also very honest, not like other places that try to rip you off in everyway. They explained everything very carefully. Everything is safe, as long as you FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS. After ziplines and rappelling, they drove us back to their place to change our swimsuits, then we got to the Maleiku Village to learn a little bit about their people. After that was tubing, the activity I loved the most. I LOVE TUBING SO MUCH that I had to come back and book the 2nd tubing lol 😂 Our first tubing was with Antonio and Sebastian. I brought my phone in waterproof bag and gave it to Antonio for photos, he took a lot of good photos for us. The level of craziness depends on how strong the water is on that day. SPECIAL THING is, they do check the river every early morning and will let you know how adventurous it will be that day. The stronger the stream is, the more fun, but then how might flip more often. But I do not see it as dangerous at all, again, AS LONG AS YOU FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS. I see some comments said tubing was so scary and unsafe, it is all because they did not follow the instructions!! It was so sooo fun that we came back the next day and book for another tubing. On the 2nd, the previous night it had rained so much, so more water, the stream was stronger than usual too, they warned us and we accepted the challenge. My bf lost his right shoe on the 1st tubing and I lost my left shoe on the 2nd tubing. They always took time and effort, swam up and downstream to look for our shoes, then Jorge took off his 1 shoe and gave it to me so that I didn't have to walk 1 barefoot. At the end of the whole Costa Rica trip, Antonio and Jorge are the ones that gave us the best experiences, the best feeling and memories about CR people. Love Antoniooo, and Jorgeee, and everyone at Go Adventure Park very very very much for being so helpful, devoted, caring, and honest,...Fantastic!! Must go ! Had a great time .. the guides were informative, funny and made you feel safe !! Great company! Antonio , Junior , Sebastian, tony , I know I’m forgetting some names , but they were all fantastic !

Mistico Hanging Bridges Our guide was Brian (unsure of spelling), we sure lucked out with him! He is educated, kind, and funny. What a wealth of knowledge about the rainforest and its flora y fauna! He scoped out wildlife for us to view and gave informational tidbits while there was nothing specific to view. He encouraged us to ask questions and gave thoughtful responses. The bridges were very cool and really not sketchy at all. However, Brian gave specific instructions regarding do’s and don’t’s when crossing the bridges. Overall, I believe this activity is a must-do while in CR. Zip line Canopy Tour This was my 11 y/o son’s favorite activity and one that would be at the bottom of my list. For me, this is about my personal preference and does not, in ANY way, reflect poorly on the quality of the experience or staff. This was my first time on a zip line, I’m in my 40’s, and not athletically gifted (quite the opposite). I much appreciated the thorough instructions and realistic expectations that were discussed prior to the activity. This gave me the confidence to proceed with the activity and to allow my son to do the same. Throughout the course, the staff was so very positive and encouraging (although I know some of my landings were quite clunky). I did get overzealous with braking and stopped several feet short of the platform on one occasion. Despite needing to be “rescued” by staff (which would normally mortify me), I was able to laugh it off as I felt at ease with the staff. Overall, this was a positive experience and I would recommend it to those interested. Hot Springs This hot springs is located at Hotel Montana de Fuego. The grounds and pool-area are well-kept. There are 3 hot springs pools and several cooler pools. There is a centrally-located bar which serves yummy concoctions that may be consumed while soaking. This was a great way to end a day of adventuring! As I enjoyed it very much, I probably wouldn’t pay to have this experience. Still, I’m so glad it was part of our package. We just did the Zipline part of the tour but it was amazing. All of the staff was extremely helpful and friendly, especially since we needed special assistance. This is the most fun I've had in a long time and I'm amazed my fear of heights didn't get in the way one bit.

The zip lines and rappelling were so fun and the tubing was much more exciting than we anticipated! A great day of action followed by a relaxing afternoon in the hot springs.
