I had Allii as a guide when I visited with friends a year ago. She is passionate about the mill and was super knowledgeable. That experience made me realize it would be a great industry group tour. I waited until Covid was over to schedule our group of 30. Once again Allii did not disappoint! She is still as passionate and informative as before! Everyone loved the tour! The mill and tunnel are definitely worth a stop if you are on Idaho Springs! We took our 2 kids age 4 and 7 for the tour and they loved it! We learned a ton and panning for gold at the end was perfect.

The guide sometimes arrived at a stop ahead of some people yet went on talking to those who arrived first--he should wait until everyone arrives so people don't miss out. I had been there many years ago--this experience was much better, including the video. This was a surprisingly fun and interesting experience! This was a surprisingly fun and interesting experience! Allii was a very knowledgeable and charismatic guide and seemed to really feel ownership and pride in the mine and it’s history. She was very patient and did great with the kids, even made one outgoing little girl her “assistant” and kept her by her side the whole tour. It was well worth the money and we would recommend to anyone in the area!We had a great time on the Mill tour. Our tour guide Allii was great. Cool look at what gold mining/milling was like back in the days of the Colorado Gold Rush.
