The temples built by Ramses II at Abu Simbel are one of Egypt's highlights, and have a fascinating story behind them to go with their impressive size. When Lake Nasser was flooded, the final water level was going to submerge several temples, the most important of which being Abu Simbel. The temple was therefore dismantled completely and rebuilt further up the hillside where it sits today. The temple stands today as a testament to Ramses II and the great building prowess of the ancient Egyptians, as well as to modern engineering.

Our vacation with Luxor tour guide was incredible! Khaled was so knowledgeable about every site we visited, and he went out of his way to make sure that we felt comfortable and safe at all times. Words can't describe my gratitude for him and his excellent guidance. I would highly recommend

The very best way to see the monuments in and around Aswan,Luxor, is to see them with Khaled from Luxortourguide Tours We spent three days with Khaled in and around Luxor. We have travelled to about twinty countries and had some excellent guides in many of them. We rate Khaled in the top Five percent of those guides. He is an incredibly knowledgeable Egyptologist, and in each place showed us details and gave us informed explanations and insights that none of the other guides seemed to share with their guests. He went out of his way to make sure we had a thorough and highly historical understanding of what we were seeing. His English is impeccable, and he is an incredibly enthusiastic and pleasent person. You will not find a better guide in Egypt. We know because we tried some others here and in Cairo. They were good, but not in the same league as Khaled.Excellent Tours Wonderful holiday with great experiences! Excellent Tours Wonderful holiday with great experiences! Very safe and a lovely country to visit and we saw some amazing things, a must for everybody interested in exploring this super Country! I would like to say that Mr Mohamed responded to every of my emails almost instantly, and after exchanging some emails, explaining what i would like to do and see as well as some personal problems (I visited Egypt, with my wife and 11 year old son, and 7year old doughter and my father, mother, mother in law and father in law), and sometimes it's difficult to adjust everything to diferente ages and tastes, i was also on budget and i found that Luxor Tour guide gave the best prices for the tours. I would also would like to say that our drivers was very nice and friendly and always tried to do it all as we asked, always with a smille. For some of the tours we also had Said as a guide who also proved to be very friendly and knowledgeble of Egypts history and monuments always trying to explain to us everything with a passion for his country culture that impressed us. Thank you Luxor tour guide company for everything and best wishes for you all. i would advise anyone to visit Egypt. It is a land of contrasts. A must if you haven't already been there. Guides who can answer any questions and are so kind and helpful. New discoveries are being made all the time, so there is no chance to be bored. Lovely people, lovely experience , amazing company ( Luxor tour guide ) Enjoy your visit!I traveled from Aswan to Luxor.. I liked everything except the guide in Abu Simbel didn't seem to exist.. We booked our tour with Mohamed from Luxor Tour and he was very attentive to us and answered every questions we had. He even went out of his way to help us with arranging for train tickets along with Mahmoud. When we arrived in Aswan, the car was there with Mahmoud ready to pick us up with cold water (much needed!). We had Ahmed as our tour guide. Funny person with A LOT of knowledge to share! Our main highlight was definitely Luxor though. Again Mohamed made sure that we were fine before traveling to Luxor. In Luxor, Khaled picked us up right on the dot at 8am! He definitely wake us up with his charm, jokes, humbleness and knowledge. He explained everything in detail to us at every stop and made sure we had time to roam on our own as well. He was also ever ready to take photos for us and even give us tips on where to stand and poses! And made sure that we were careful about our belongings. All in all we are very happy to have booked through Luxor Tour Guides!Excellent private tours with hugely knowledgable guides We contacted Luxor tour guide company whilst in Luxor based on the mostly positive reviews here on TripAdvisor to see if they could assist with a private tour of the Luxor,Aswan,Abu simbel The Tour operatour had contacted us to say he'd be...
Excellent private tours with hugely knowledgable guides We contacted Luxor tour guide company whilst in Luxor based on the mostly positive reviews here on TripAdvisor to see if they could assist with a private tour of the Luxor,Aswan,Abu simbel The Tour operatour had contacted us to say he'd be happy to help and met us at our hotel the next day to arrange. From the outset he was hugely helpful in terms of tips of when to go (on the transfer days, therefore avoiding large tour groups) and at what times to get the best atmosphere and pictures. His prices for a private tour, with guide and driver, were less than the group tours we had been offered by our tour company. On this basis we booked with him and were very impressed from start to finish. The Tour guide, was incredibly knowledgeable - there wasn't a single question we asked that he didn't know the answer , really, amazing! we were happy with everything. Absolutely recommend this tour company.
