First of all, I would say, it’s not what was promised in the advertising. We did not see Athens by night. We were picked up one hour late- by Maria, our tour guide. She was rude, and unapologetic about the delay. The night drive to the Acropolis was nixed because of the time. Not our fault- she took us straight to the dinner/ dance which we enjoyed- however we really wanted the night lights tour. After we were driven home- she left several stops before us and left us with the driver. Poor service and disappointing evening. This experience was a surprise for my wife, and it was completely disappointing. This experience was a surprise for my wife, and it was completely disappointing. From they don’t pick up at our hotel so we had to walk somewhere else, to being two hours late due to a protest, to the food being terrible and them not having vegetarian option for me though I emailed three times to ensure that there would be, to smashing us in together during Covid like we were sardines on a table. No masks not even 2 inches between seats. I was embarrassed, it was the most terrible experience fire entire three weeks in Greece. The woman shook her breasts, and I think that was supposed to be the highlight of the show. It was not. Maria, our guide, said that she could not take us to the panoramic view of Athens because of the protest. No compensation was made for the deficiencies. No one could avoid them. But the tour company is responsible. We ended up walking home instead of going with the bus because they were so ill prepared and it unorganizedThis tour could be better. This tour could be better. The title and picture will have you thinking that you will attractions and things illuminated with their lights. In actuality we did't really see any of the main attractions like the acropolis. It was just a drive by pointing out a few points around the city like a stadium. With it being summer we didn't even get the benefits of it being dark because of the late sunset. The only time we stopped was to take a picture at outlook over the sea. Then we went to dinner and the show which was really overrated. You are basically paying for dinner and the show.Athens by night needs to become Athens by early evening! Athens by night needs to become Athens by early evening! The pick up was ok and the tour guide Joseph pointed out a few sights and we stopped at the Olympia stadium and acropolis for a quick photo shoot. Then to plaka where we walked through to the taverna. Yes it is very very crowded really squeezed in . The show was already started don’t know for how long. Some sharing plates of mezze on the table. The choice was veg chicken or lamb for the meal. Drinks order had a beer and coke. Food arrived after a long time , it was edible just. Only just, plates cleared quickly , lady opposite me hadn’t finished hers! Then a real shocker €7 for the beer and 4 for a small Pepsi. No indication of what the price would be before so was expecting average prices . And we were taken out by Joseph our guide before the show had finished, no reason why! To sum up it was a very expensive tour and I felt ripped off by everything but the actual show. The tour of Athens by night was good; the guide was knowledgeable and her English was understandable. The tour of Athens by night was good; the guide was knowledgeable and her English was understandable. The Greek dancing was great fun but the food was very disappointing and definitely prepared for the mass tourist market. We were packed into the venue like sardines (I don't think they could have got another chair in anywhere :) ). And the bus was more than 40 minutes late picking us up. By then I thought they weren't coming and we had been scammed. Luckily there was another group at hotel also waiting for the bus so we waited with them. I think it worked well since we just arrived in Athens that afternoon and it gave us time to freshen up before going on the tour and we got our bearings that way. However, if you want dinner out there are plenty better places to go.
