Because of a mix-up the previous day (not with this company), this tour company and guides were able to accommodate us to make a sour experience one of the best. Guides were informative with a full narrative. There was ample time spent at all stops.

Silvio was a very informative & interesting guide - we learned a lot about the Maori people, their history and customs- things I never learned about in U.S. schools. He answered all of our questions/listened, tried to teach us how to pronounce native words, offered to help take pictures, very friendly. I wish we could have stayed longer at the black beach though - it was so beautiful! All the countryside is beautiful! That was our first tour when we arrived in NZ, it set the bar pretty high for our remaining tours. Thank you for a wonderful day! James & BonnieOur first tour in Auckland was with Time Unlimited. Our first tour in Auckland was with Time Unlimited. Our guide was Salvio. Having taken many private tours on many trips I can truly say he is exceptional. He gave us an outstanding experience. Not only did he show us all the sites in the city , his knowledge of local history and culture made the experience that much more enriching. We also went to the Waitakere Ranges Regional Park and learned about the Maori culture and customs from Salvio. In addition his knowledge of the flora was an unexpected bonus. Truly it was an outstanding experience. We were picked up at our hotel by Ceillhe who is the founder and director and Gaiza (not sure of the correct spelling!). We were picked up at our hotel by Ceillhe who is the founder and director and Gaiza (not sure of the correct spelling!). Both are of Maori descent and led us on an incredible journey around Auckland, (stopping at places like The War Museum), Devonport and the West Coast. We began in Auckland, went to a small café for lunch in Devonport, went to the West Coast and saw the famed Kauri tree, stopped at Piha Beach where we walked on black sand, were treated to a song (by Gaiza) and were given the opportunity to sample some typical Kiwi foodstuffs, such as Manuka honey, green AND gold kiwi juice, Marmite etc etc. It was a magical day: Ceillhe was the consummate host. Warm and friendly she created an atmosphere where we all felt comfortable to ask any and all questions. And we did! We learned so much about the history, culture and customs of the Maori people and it set the tone for the rest of our trip to New Zealand. When the day ended we felt we had been treated to something quite special. If you are interested in learning about the Maori, New Zealand, their history, their flora ( we were shown “bush” toilet paper..) and fauna, then this is a tour not to be missed. And yes, it’s expensive but well worth it. As said in the title of the review— Best Tour We have Ever Taken. Full Stop.I joined a full-day field trip to Auckland Coast area. I joined a full-day field trip to Auckland Coast area. For example, I visited Piha Beach, Arataki Visitor Center, etc. This was the most exciting and amazing experience in Auckland for me:) I was a Japanese student and my English was not there yet, but thanks to my knowledgeable and cheerful guide, Ceillhe and her jovial and charming assistants, I really enjoyed it. I recommend this tour by TIME Unlimited Tours to all who visit Auckland. Hinauri and Romy treated us from the first moment on as if we where old friends - they love what they are doing and they love their country. Their good sense of humor kept us awake after the excausting trip from Germany. Not only showing what is there to be seen, they where interested in us and asked questions we liked. Having lunch together in this beautiful Restaurant near the Museum was a very good choice. Bring camera and walking shoes. I felt very honored by Hinauri when she put the traditionell feather cape on me - thanks again. Everything offered in the written program was presentes and this in a Special manner.
