Start up your Aurora Borealis night tour at the famous Stejk Street Foods food truck & Tipi in Kiruna. Your ticket includes local street food dinner in the Tipi. Meanwhile the guide will make the latest weather and Aurora Borealis prognosis which give you the best chance to see the Aurora during the night. Driving through the night in a van gives us the best opportunity to see many different locations in a big area. This will increase the chance for Aurora.

Stop At: Abisko National Park, Abisko Sweden
Your Aurora Borealis Guide will make a driving route plan for the night based on the Aurora Borealis forecast and local weather conditions. In a small group of 1 - 6 people you will travel thru Abisko National Parks Highway. While chasing the Aurora we will make many stops along the night route. When and if the Aurora appears the you will have many photo opportunities. The guide will also take pictures during the night and mail you those after the tour. Drinks such as coffee, Tea and Hot Lingberry Jucie will be served.

It was a really nice experience, although it was freezing in there. Warm cloths and shoes should be a must if you plan to go there.

Huge shout-out to Zebastian who operates Kiruna Private Guides. We booked the Aurora Borealis with local street food tour - it did not disappoint! Zebastian proactively contacted us early in the day to confirm the arrangements and brief us on what to expect. He had researched the weather reports...
Huge shout-out to Zebastian who operates Kiruna Private Guides. We booked the Aurora Borealis with local street food tour - it did not disappoint! Zebastian proactively contacted us early in the day to confirm the arrangements and brief us on what to expect. He had researched the weather reports and made informed adjustments to our schedule to map the best possible viewing opportunities. He showed up on time and with a wonderful, jovial attitude. After picking us up at our hotel (Camp Ripan for us), Zebastian took us to Stekj Street Food for dinner. You MUST try this! I had the reindeer/moose mix with salad; however, you can also try it with fries or as a sandwich (similar to a Philly cheese steak). It was an amazing recipe of meat, deliciously spiced. And, you get to enjoy it on picnic style tables inside a fire-heated teepee similar to the indigenous Sami. You'll love it! Zabastian then escorted us to four different viewing sites he had selected based on cloud pattern and Aurora activity. Throughout the experience he educated us of the history and culture of Kiruna with his great sense of humor. We had good luck on our tour observing the lights even though there is never a guarantee. My group mostly used our mobile phone cameras but Zebastian brings his personal camera, too, which is adjusted to the best settings for night photos of the Aurora Borealis. Those photos are electronically provided to his guests. The tour also provided extra-heavy jackets with hoods if needed. We were so impressed with the professionalism of Kiruna Private Tours that we booked with them to transfer us to the Ice Hotel and Nutti Sami Siida, a venue to have wood-heated coffee and see/feed reindeer. It was Zebastian again who picked us up at Camp Ripan and loaded our luggage in a van, transferred us to the sites, and finally transferred us to the airport after our excursions. Une soirée inoubliable, nous avons commencé celle-ci par un repas dans un kiosque street food avec la présentation par Zebastian pour nous mettre dans le bain de cette soirée, ensuite est venu le moment tant attendu et pour lequel nous avons fait le voyage en Suède. La chance a été avec nous ce soir là, le bus nous a conduit à des spots magiques pour apercevoir les aurores, les explications tout au long du trajet par Zebastian ont été appréciables avec pas mal d’explications sur divers sujets (aurores, histoire de Kiruna, réglage appareils pour prendre de belles photos). Lorsque les aurores apparurent nous avons été subjugués par la beauté du spectacle. Nous ne pouvons que conseiller cette excursion qui est vraiment un “must have” de Kiruna.Pierpaolo_C

Inoltre prima di recarci ad abisko abbiamo degustato un bel panino con la carne di alce e renna e devo dire davvero squisita. Consiglio vivamente l'escursione ma sappiate che l'auror...

Consiglio vivamente l'escursione ma sappiate che l'aurora boreale non deve essere il motivo per il quale venite a kiruna altrimenti se non la vedete ci rimanete male bensì godetevi l'escursione e la vacanza senza pensieri ricordando che la magia siete voi e l'Aurora é solo la ciliegina sulla torta. Grazie Svezia, grazie kiruna, grazie Lapponia e grazie per quello che avete fatto per noi. Siete stati fantastici. Consigliatissimo.
