Aurora hunting & photography tour
Overview
A professional guide will drive you to the optimal dark location based on weather conditions so that you have the highest chance of witnessing the Aurora Borealis.
When we arrive at the observation site, there will be a warming campfire where you can enjoy a barbecue with snacks and hot drinks.
Photos are also included. There will be a professional camera optimized for night sky photography. If you want to take your own camera, you will get some useful tips for aurora photography.

What to expect
Unlike other similar tours, this is a small group activity with a maximum number of visitors of 12 people. So, you can hunt northern lights in a cosy nordic atmosphere. You will be driven away from the city lights to the dark location where the Northern lights are often visible. The guide will choose the location based on current weather conditions to maximize the chance of viewing the Aurora Borealis. In case if the sky gets cloudy, the group could move to a different spot to find a gap in the clouds to spot northern lights.
There will be a campfire that could help to warm up as well as a Lappish barbecue with snacks and hot drinks. During this trip, you can learn interesting facts and ancient stories about Auroras. Also, the guide will teach you the essential basics of northern lights photography and take photos for you. After the tour, you will receive photos by email.

Alex our guide was prompt experienced and importantly a safe driver. He was very courteous and prided himself in providing excellent service which could be seen throughout the experience. He communicated well providing details prior to the experience. He took us to one lovely wooded spot but clouds came over. We sat by a log fire with Alex providing seat covers for the stone seating circld . Alex then served up lovely barbecued sausage hotdogs bit like Bratworst and a warm lapland winter drink. We then toasted marshmallows on the open fire as Alex explained the science behind the Northern Lights and folklore stories about them. It should be noted that he was very hygienic with the food preparation. As the cloud cover was still about 70%, Alex drove us to another location next to a Lake. When we arrived there was already Aurora activity spread accross two areas of the sky. We took lovely photographs and Alex took photos of us with the Aurora behind us. The photo link was with us the next day. We chose Alex as there were very good recommendations for his activity. Very friendly guides, brought up to the best place in order to be able to catch up the northern light. We finally been able to see the sights of the northern lights . The trip lasted longer that it’s was meant to be .They shot a few photos and they emailed us their photos the day after. This trip was more beneficial as we we’re a small group of 6 split in 2 cars. This tour was probably ones cheapest . I would recommend to anybody . I won’t hesitate to choose Alex tour if I was supposed to go to another trip . As I am leaving tonite I both feel sad and happy to have been able to see the northern light light ,I previously travelled to Iceland. Where I never got the chance to see the northern light. I have been successful this time . This won’t have been possible without Alex tour .Despite the cold , we all spent a really good time and I won’t forget this experienceUnfortunately we were not able to see the Northern Lights as the weather was not great.
