And Playing the traditional bamboo music instrument there
We will then continue the journey to the home industry of making tofu, then journey to the bee keeping (here, tourists can try pure honey directly from the hive)

We were very happy with the tour. Alga is a wonderful guide, he is a local to the area so he knows everyone in the villages we biked through and the history of the area. We rode through beautiful paddy fields and serene villages. We learned how melinjo crackers and tofu were made, and the highlight was visiting the stingless bees farm! We get to sip the honey off directly from the honey bag inside the bees home and the kind owner picked a passionfruit from his tree for us to try and gave my daughter a scrunchie handmade by his wife. This tour is highly recommended!!The tour is very satisfying and a must do thing when you visit Yogyakarta. You get to blend with locals and get to know the hidden germs of Prambanan Village. We enjoyed a really nice bicycle tour with our family this morning with Alga. He welcomed us generously with coffee/tea and local sweets. Afterwards we started the tour, our youngest one was in a child seat at the back and the other two kids cycled themselves. We had a beautiful view over the rice fields, the northern part of the Prambanan temple and visited some local villages with a tofu factory in which they manually produced tofu. A lady who smashed beans for traditional crackers and a lovely Trigona bee keeper. Afterwards he took us to a nice Indonesian restaurant with delicious Guramek. It was a great family tour and we highly recommend Alga as a very friendly tour guide who speaks English very well and can explain a lot about the culture and traditions. Family De Jong- Netherlands
