Stop At: Gothic Quarter (Barri Gotic), Mediterranean Seafront to Ronda de Sant Pere, Ciutat Vella, 08002 Barcelona Spain
After meeting your English-speaking on this Barcelona food tour like no other we`ll take you right to the historic centre of the old city of Barcelona, together we`ll have a walk in Gothic Quarter.
Just a stone’s throw away, you will enjoy the first tapas experience of the evening in an historical bar, where we’ll start tasting a “filling bomb” with cold local beer.
The next place awaits us as we navigate our way through one of the most beautiful squares of the Gothic Quarter and its adjacent small streets that still retain their old medieval ambiance.
Our next stop is a family-owned bar where we’ll taste Catalan cold cuts and “pa amb tomàquet” (bread with tomato) accompanied by a nice glass of white or red wine (as you do!).
Duration: 1 hour
Stop At: Call de Barcelona, Barcelona, Spain
Our Barcelona tapas tour continues to the heart of the old Jewish Quarter. Next up is a hidden, charming, typical Bodega (with a fantastic cellar), where you can have a “vermut” (vermouth) or “cava” and indulge in the home-made croquettes and other typical tapas (you can expect “patatas bravas”, “padrón peppers”, sausage in cider sauce and bread with tomato).
Duration: 1 hour
Stop At: Placa Sant Felip Neri, Paseo de Palau Episcopal, Barri Gotic, 08002 Barcelona Spain
Hear the story about the Plaça de Sant Felip Neri a small square in the Gothic Quarter.
Duration: 5 minutes
Pass By: Bishop’s Bridge, C. del Bisbe, 08002 Barcelona, Spain
We continue our walking tour and we will reveille you all the secrets of Pont Del Bisbe.
Stop At: Barcelona City Hall, Pl. de Sant Jaume, 1, 08002 Barcelona, Spain
We will pass by ‘the House of the City’ and stop near by where we will treat you with a surprise local sweet.
Duration: 10 minutes
Stop At: Barcelona Cathedral, Pla de la Seu, S/N, 08002 Barcelona Spain
Then, on the way to the last venue, we’ll see the Cathedral or even a giant work by Picasso before vanishing again in the labyrinth of narrow streets. We’ll walk then in a very local and traditional Vermouth cellar where of course you will get a glass or Vermouth or local “pincho”. It is a must to taste.

I have done close to 100 food tours all over the world, this is one of the very best. Our guide Daisy was wonderful! She was knowledgable about the history and culture of Barcelona, and was passionate about sharing this with us. One thing that makes this food tour special, (and tours in general with the company Intrepid/Urban travel adventures) is they make each tour authentic to location in support of the local communities. Each place we visited, and each item we tried was not just local to Catalonia, but to Barcelona specifically. One highlight of the tour is the oldest book store in Barcelona, a family run business, that serves a traditional cuisine in a handful of tables in the book store. It is really quite special when you can experience a culture and it's authenticity. I highly recommend you do this tour. Our tour guide Desire was very good with the tour, she even gave us tips on where to go and other tourist attractions. The food was delicious and highly recommended.love the tour

After 2 years of very little travel we decided to have our first city break. So glad we did in Barcelona and that we took this tour to explore the wonderful tapas adventures of this city. We were a small group of 8 people and the guide made sure we are all catered for. In true catalan style, after a few drinks and bites we were all good friends, and after the tour some of us stayed longer to discover the neigbourhood night life. What a great day and night.
