Great guide, Val, was informative and knowledgeable about the history and food! Her method of using pictures works well. Everyplace we stopped for food and drink was ready when we arrived. We're glad that we took the late afternoon tour with reduced crowds.

I wish we had taken this tour at the beginning of our trip and not towards the end! Our guide, Eric, explained the history of the area, concentrating on the Gothic Quarter, while walking us to several tapas places that I feel a tourist would overlook. The history lesson was great and filled in a lot of gaps for me, the food was amazing, and the conversation with Eric and the other members of our group was fantastic. The group size was 9 people which was perfect for fitting into the small tapas restaurants and also helped the conversation flow easily. Eric’s easy going style made us all comfortable opening up and we had a really good time. He also shared his favorite churro spots with me as the tour was ending (tried it the next day-fantastic). We would absolutely do this tour again!Good mix of tapas bar experience. Some old, some new. History of the Roman wall and Barcelona was very interesting.

We had a wonderful time with Valentina walking through the Gothic Quarter of Barcelona on a perfect spring evening. The tour is a lovely way to see that part of the city and learn about the history of Barcelona, which was helpful starting point for the rest of our trip. We stopped in three very authentic tiny Barcelona restaurants and enjoyed three to six dishes in each spot. They were both delicious and exposed us to some foods we probably would not have tried on our own. The tour was our family and another family, each of us with three teenagers (well, our family had one 20-year-old, but close enough). Valentina did a good job of being a cool older (but not old like the parents) guide for the teenagers, and had conversations with them while the parents got to know each other. Valentina's English was excellent. She followed up the tour with an email including additional restaurant recommendations, which we happily relied on during our other days in Barcelona. I would gladly recommend the tour to any other family visiting Barcelona. We had a wonderful tour with Valentina. Our group included folks from Australia, UK and the US, and Valentina kept us all engaged by providing some local history and a great description of the local food culture. We had a lot of fun enjoying outstanding food and great company as we strolled through the Gothic Quarter. Valentina also suggested a number of food and drink options to help ensure we had a great experience with our remaining time in Barcelona.Excellent tour, excellent food!
