Short version: Just book it! Longer version: The whole experience is amazing. All the people involved are super passionate and friendly. Andrea, the guide, is an amazing person with vast knowledge on coffee and she will help you with translation and she will make the tour engaging for you. Marcella & Karen who work in the plantation, which by the way is ran by women (Karen is the 4th generation), are so empowering, smart and do a very well structured tour. You will be able to learn about every step of the coffee production and collection, and you will yourself try them. The food and beverages they provide throughout the day is clean and authentic as they are produced with no chemicals at all. This is the whole idea around the farm; sustainable/organic and ethical farming. These kinds of initiatives need to be supported by everyone. Skip the touristic places and join this tour. Buy your coffee there and enjoy the day in a beautiful plantation. (Meeting point and transportation are also convenient)We have taken many cultural tours in Colombia and this is definitely one of the very best! We have taken many cultural tours in Colombia and this is definitely one of the very best! It is exactly what we would hope for but wouldn’t dear expect, truly exceeded expectations! It is basically a guided tour to an organic, small scale coffee plantation where they explain step by step the entire process behind our favorite hot drink; even more so, it gets practical and you get to farm a bit of coffee yourself and then precess it throughout the steps to make it ready to drink. Attention to detail was heartwarming as the hosts make sure to provide hats, ponchos, mosquito repellant -not that there were really many mosquitos- in order to ensure a pleasant experience. The coffee tasting and conversation about different varieties and ways to make coffee are both interesting and useful as they share plenty tips for guests to prepare better coffee at home. The group was very small, which makes the experience more intimate and friendly, the breakfast and lunch are fresh and authentic and our guide Andrea was super friendly and cool! Absolutely marvelous experience and very close to Bogota, I would definitely recommend to all tourists instead of mass-touristic tours to the known coffee zone!Nick is an amazing and passionate tour guide. Full of knowledge and humor. Pay attention! There is a quiz game with coffee prizes at the end.
