We had a great time. Really enjoyed both wineries and Olivier was very knowledgeable. We also stopped for scenic views along the way. There were 8 of us so the van was full. Everyone had a seat but you will get close with your fellow passengers. It was definitely more wineries than castles as a couple were pointed out on the way, but the Wine tour is what I wanted.

Justine, our guide, was clearly very knowledgeable about wine in general as well as Beaujolais wine specifically. The outline of the trip available on the website was very accurate so we knew just what to expect. Both wineries we went to were lovely and it was nice to see things done on such different scales. I wasn't blown away by any of the wines, but would recommend for anyone with an interest. If you're an aficionado, you may wish to seek your own trip.

I am Maria Sereda from Romania and I would like to thank you, Olivier and to all your colleagues from Kanpai Tourism for the wonderful way you organized our half day Beaujolais Crus Wines and Castles tour. Our trip was well designed and managed from the travel arrangements to the time we spent in every place. Booking was easy, we completed everything via email, all our emails were answered professionally. We had an interesting itinerary and we visited the Beaujolais region with its charming villages and two good wineries, where we tasted delicious wines and learned a lot about wine making: one of Nicole Chanrion and the other was Cave du Chateau de Chenas. Olivier is knowledgeable, experienced, friendly, flexible, patient, he suggested the best options according to our preferences and he gave us all the information we needed. I will always recommend Kanpai Tourism, for its professionalism and as a beautiful and interesting way to discover Beaujolais region and its wineries.Olivier and Justine took us on a fantastic afternoon tour. Olivier and Justine took us on a fantastic afternoon tour. Olivier was our guide and was so knowledgeable and engaging. We had a great afternoon of sightseeing, pictures and wine! We went to a small independent winery, and a larger winery. Both were so much fun. Olivier was able to provide additional insight, prepared us with information and facts about the wine and was truly passionate about what he does. I highly recommend this tour and look forward to our next trip. Thank you, Olivier!Big thumbs up for our tour of Beaujolais Crus. Our guide Olivier was excellent, very informative and knowledgable with a great sense of humour. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour and left Lyon with a better understanding of the French passion for wine. Many thanks.

I'm sorry to write a less than excellent review, as our tour guide was very kind. However, I've had wine tasting (as well as other types of spirits) trips everywhere from Bucks County, PA in the US to Bologne, Italy and we have always been greeted warmly by the hosts with written take home info, place settings with glasses for all of the samples set up and food pairing ideas including some types of bread or cheese, dips spreads or cracker types of food to pair it with - it is just more festive to sit around a table eating a little something while tasting the wine and having it explained to you! I'm not sure what the $108 us dollars was for apart from the transportation, and a single castle shout out as we whizzed by because it is my experience that the vineyards do not charge for these tours and tastings are offered to anyone off of the street in order to sell their wine. The hostess in the vineyard in the cave didn't even say one word to us, it was like late and she was seemed hassled by yet another tour group. I felt that the bottom line to this tour was, which do you want to buy, and in full disclosure, I knew I wasn't not buying. This tour was not for me per se, but if you have never had a lesson in wine tasting and you want get out of the city and kill an afternoon and have a pleasant and easy time of it with lots of photo ops for your friends back home, this is your tour; it just wasn't for me, sorry to say.
