We are two Australians and, along with Germans, Americans and a Chinese, took the Beaujolais and Perouges tour in early May. The small group size made it very personal and we all became friends as the day progressed. Olivier made sure that we were all included and, with his translation, allowed us to understand and appreciate Dominic’s lifestyle and dedication to his family vineyard and winery. The lesson on tasting of the wines and their qualities was much appreciated. And then Perouges was a real change and eye opener with its history and beautiful old buildings. So, this day tour was really excellent and well worthwhile. But, as well, Olivier advised us that Annecy was the next place for us to experience. So, after four days of restful heaven there (rather than the two originally booked) Olivier has advised us of the places to go to in Spain. This is excellent travel information from someone who has experienced it all. Altogether, we recommend this tour and advice as excellent.Justine was exceptional - very knowledgeable but also very charming. We did a full day tour of the southern Beaujolais area in late April with Justine from Kanpai Tours. The tour was well organized with prompt pickup and an interesting itinerary of visiting the Beaujolais countryside, charming villages and a good winery. Justine was very accommodating and flexible and was very knowledgeable about wine making, having taken her masters degree in Bordeaux. The choice of winery was excellent - a small family owned winery who are passionate about their vineyards and making wine. There was a good selection of white, rose and red wines to taste and everyone ended up buying a few bottles to taste later at their leisure. The restaurant for lunch was charming and the food was first rate. All in all a great day in Beaujolais in sunny summer like weather!
