However, when I decide to book a china tour again, I will definitely book thru Travel China Guide. My consultant is Doris Zhang and she is outstanding. She made any changes that I wanted to make to the tour, booked some upgrades that I requested and basically held my hand thru the entire process. We had business that was bringing us to, of all places, Wuhan, so we decided to bring our 16 year old and tour Beijing and Shanghai as well. I had no idea where to begin to find a tour company we could trust but I happened across Travel China Guide. Their mini group tour sounded perfect. We asked our business contacts to check the company out and they said they were legitimate. Emily answered questions promptly, given the 12 hour time difference. She was excellent to work with and we got very excited as our trip drew near. Unfortunately, the COVID-19 pandemic struck and we had to cancel our tour just a few weeks after wiring the entire balance due to China. To be honest, I wondered if we would ever see our refund, but Emily came through. Once again, her communication was excellent. The answer is that I want to acknowledge the entire process of planning and canceling our trip due to the pandemic. I contacted Travel China Guide Tours on October maybe November 2019. I was lucky that my travel consultant was Lexi, a very professional, friendly and always ready to help young woman. All my questions and interests were answered within 24 hours. Incredible thing when we live on the other side of the globe. When our itinerary was excellent and we deposited 33% of the total cost, the Corona Virus emergency appeared.The company was at all times concerned about our trip and when we decided that we were unable to go due to this worldwide emergency, the tour was canceled and we were reimbursed with 100% of our deposit.
