The guide was professional, friendly and knowledgeable. The tour was conducted at a good pace. It brought the origins and history of Belfast to life. The conclusion of the tour back at the meeting point, City Hall, neatly pulled together the themes covered during the walk.

It was great to go round old and new parts of Belfast and understand the history. Also great that it acknowledged that there is so much more to Belfast history than the troubles, and this tour barely mentioned this part of Irish history. The murals were interesting and well explained. The audio headset really helped everyone to hear the guide, as this can often be difficult with a large, spread out group. Recommended, almost 3 hours but with a 15 minute coffee stop.Stevan did an excellent job. I really enjoyed the tour and learned a lot also. It is a good way to learn the history and see the major sites in an afternoon. I liked the restaurant he recommended for lunch also.

My first visit to Belfast. I really wanted to gain some knowledge about Belfast's Troubles. The guide James had lots of knowledge so I could clearly follow the different stages of violence in the 70's. We went to several sites where bombing had taken place and aside from the historical facts we also got the personal details: It was a warm summer evening, lots of young people came to this building because of it's live music and good atmosphere... And than the bomb went of. What I think is very much the own view of Dead Center Walking Tours is the accent being put on the importance to go out and meet not just people of your own group/religion. That stopped when the center of Belfast became the 'dead center' when it got completely gated. In the 70's nobody could enter after shop closing. We very much enjoyed our tour with Steve. We very much enjoyed our tour with Steve. We found the detail of information excellent, and Steve painted a solid picture of Belfast over the years. Having access to headphones was also a very important factor in selecting DC Tours. The positive online reviews confirm the quality and care that DC guides such as Steve take in providing an unbiased and factually accurate account of his city’s history. The pace was just right and his depth of knowledge evident throughout the presentation. Steve obviously enjoys his information-sharing role and covered diverse and wide-ranging topics with his audience. It was a brilliant start to our Belfast visit and gave us the motivation to reserve the DC walking tour on the Troubles. The introduction to the Titanic saga was a perfect lead-in to our Titanic tour which we also thoroughly enjoyed. Kudos on a professional and very thoughtful experience The Ottawa Connection
