We took the Best of Bucharest tour with Alina and it was excellent. Alina shared her wealth of knowledge about the city and its history in a way that was informative and interesting - the time flew by! She also followed up with an email of recommendations tailored to our interests - best wine bars and dessert places, recommendations to learn more about Romanian history, several museum suggestions, etc. The pace of the tour was great - it was only afterwards when we had to walk back to our car that I realized how much ground we had covered. Alina has a great personality for a tour guide - smart, interesting, patient, well organized, flexible, with a great sense of humour. She was happy to answer any questions that we had. She also showed us many photos of sites from previous times to supplement her narrative, so you could visualize how things evolved. We recommend her without hesitation. (We often use Context Travel guides when travelling, but this company is not in Romania. Alina would be among the best of the Context guides, if you are looking for a comparison.) Thank you for a great Sunday, Alina! We took a 3 hour walking tour with Alina, She has great knowledge, is very well organised and took us passing the highlights of the city in a relaxed pace. She also got us into the Atheneum, which was an amazing theater. Highly recommended.

Just returned from Bucharest visit with 8 of our friends. Great city but to see it without using Alina as a guide would be a huge mistake. All of us are experienced travelers and have used numerous guides successfully but agree that Alina is the best. She has it all, excellent language, first hand knowledge of her city and country, good sense of humor and very good about communicating with her clients and evaluating their wishes and abilities and designing a specific tour. Recommend her highly.I found „When in Bucharest“ via internet and Alina immediately answered my email with an offer for the “Best of Bucharest Tour” and additional interesting information about the city. I found „When in Bucharest“ via internet and Alina immediately answered my email with an offer for the “Best of Bucharest Tour” and additional interesting information about the city. On the day of our tour we met our guide Lucian at the hotel reception. He was a very friendly guide and it turned out that his German was very fluent as well so spontaneously he did the tour in German which was great for our kids. He showed us the most interesting places but even more interesting were all the stories he had to tell about the city, the people and the history. We had a perfect time, we learned a lot and with a comfortable beer we let the tour end in the old center of Bucharest. Highly recommendable! Our tour guide (Sever) was great! We took this tour during our first day of our trip. It provided a great overview. Guide was professional, super informative, spoke great English and he was friendly. He shared great information and was very attentive. - Highly recommended.
