If you’re new to whitewater rafting or seeking something with moderate thrill, this section of river is perfect for you. Paddle down exciting rapids such as “El Cano, ” “Confusion, ” “Superman, ” and “Air Force.” Plus, jump out of the raft and swim in the natural pools below the rapids.
Our expert guides will provide you with safety information and help you improve your paddling skills. Along the way, the guides will point out all the different flora and fauna around you.

One of the most beautiful Costa Rican River, well know for his rapid and easy accessibility that make the river the perfect spot for nature and white water lovers.

- Minimum age is 8 years
- May be operated by a multi-lingual guide
- Not wheelchair accessible
- You will be required to sign a waiver upon tour check-in
- Recommend you bring: Sunscreen, string or strap to secure your glasses, clothes to change into after the tour
- Near public transportation
- Recommend you wear: Swimsuit, Shorts or long pants (for sun protection only - no jeans), tennis shoes or sandals with ankle straps (no flip flops), light rain jacket and/or polypropylene, wool shirts for cool or rainy days. Cotton T-shirts for sunny days only (they make you colder when wet)
- A minimum of 2 adults per booking is required
- Not recommended for travelers with back problems
- Not recommended for pregnant travelers

- For your safety, the 7am schedule may change because the river level is low at this time of year.

Wow. What a great time. I was concerned that the class II-III was not going to be enough for my adrenaline seeking (my girlfriend was concerned it would be too much, haha). But, it was perfect. Tons of action, falls and wild life. The guide was tons of fun. Their facilities are clean and staff super friendly. We even got a GREAT and nutritious lunch!It was a very fun and wonderful experience! It was knowledgeable as well, and in my opinion you get more than what you pay for!

What an amazing time! Since the moment I contacted David, the service was excellent. Very professional and friendly, he helped me with all our questions and was able to arrange a tour for me and my wife with short notice. Erick and Mariano explained everything to us, from safety to what to do, since it was our first time. They are outstanding and very knowledgeable. The rafting was so much fun, it was the highlight of our trip. We saw some wildlife (yes, even toucans!) and had a perfect mix of thrill and relaxation. They also added some extras that made everything even better. I can't recommend SOC enough. They go above and beyond and have different options to try to accommodate to your schedule. I will look to do another tour with them whenever we go back to Costa Rica (our friends who missed the tour are jealous of us now LOL). They are awesome! Traveled to Costa Rica as a couple and were not necessarily convinced of doing rafting since we are a little bit scared of water activities. However, we are so glad we found them. Erick and Rasta Mariano were our guides, they were above and beyond. We felt secured our entire trip and enjoyed it to the fullest. They definitely know what they are doing, and they take their job very serious. We did class 3. It took us from 1.5 - 2 hours in the river and it has been the highlight of our trip. They even gave us some snacks at the end and shared some pictures. Highly recommended. Thank you again.We did our first rafting experience with Erick and Mariano. We had the best experience.
