Your marine biologist will also explain how this delicate ecosystem maintains a pure balance and what must be done to preserve and protect the Bio Bay “Laguna Grande." It is a very special place on Planet Earth! All gear, snacks, pictures and kayak lessons are included. Minimum age is 6 years old. Children under 6 years of age are not permitted on any of our tours.

Earlier tour is excellent for 1st-time kayakers, families with kids, & anyone that really enjoys being close to nature. As the sun goes down, you'll be able to enjoy the majestic view of the mangrove forest.
Later Bio Bay tour is excellent for experienced kayakers. Expect total darkness. You'll be able to enjoy the tranquility of the lagoon under the night skies full of stars.
All tours are led by an interpretive Marine Biologist trained in 1st Aid & CPR. The tour is suitable for everyone 6 years and up, but pregnant women cannot do this tour, no exceptions.
This is a 2-person kayak tour. The max weight is 220 pounds per person. We have no single kayaks. To assure weight restriction is met, guests will be weighed on-site.

- Not wheelchair accessible
- Service animals allowed
- Near public transportation
- Travelers should have a moderate physical fitness level
- For safety reasons pregnant women cannot participate. (NO exclusions)
- Our kayaks are all tandem kayaks for two people - you are booking per person not per kayak. If one space is left, that means there is 1 space on a tandem kayak.
- Guest under 18 yrs of age must be accompanied by an adult.
- The owner of the service animal must provide a Licensed Life-vest by the Coast Guard for the animal. The animal must be in total control all the time. Keep in mind that there will be many people around in the dark.
- Guest that are not able to complete the tour for any reason will not be provided a refund of any type.
- All guests must be able to row their kayaks by themselves. One of the requirements is that you are able to get in and out of the kayak on your own and be able to maneuver it. If you are an unexperienced kayaker we highly suggest you choose the earlier tour.
- If one space is left, that means there is 1 space (for 1 person) on a tandem kayak (No single kayaks available). You will be accompanied by another guest on the tour.
- No Expecting Mothers
- For safety reasons, children under 6 years old CANNOT participate in PURE ADVENTURE tour.
- Those who have epilepsy, back problems, heart conditions, dizziness, recent surgery or any other condition that may put life in risk are not allowed to participate in PURE ADVENTURE tour.
- Kayaks have a weight limit of 220 lbs. per person. (NO exclusions) To assure weight restriction is met, guests will be weighed on-site.
- Not recommended for travelers with heart problems or other serious medical conditions
- This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund
- This experience requires a minimum number of travelers. If it’s canceled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be offered a different date/experience or a full refund
- This tour/activity will have a maximum of 30 travelers
- Confirmation will be received at time of booking

We had the absolute best tour guides for our bio bay tour (Sandra, Javier, Amaury, Enrique, Yadiel). They made sure the tour was fun and informative. It never felt rushed and they made sure that we got to experience the bio luminescence.

Friendly, knowledgeable crew (especially Sandra!) and great tour of mangroves and lagoon. Even though the bioluminescence wasn't as plenty as it was a few years back, kayaking at dusk into the night under the stars was a beautiful adventure.

This is a little different kind of review but worth noting. We are staying in the Grand Caymans. I went online and booked a trip. I paid for everything and was in the process of lining up our ride there. That’s when Jessica let me know we somehow got our trip booked in Puerto Rica! I apologized ...
This is a little different kind of review but worth noting. We are staying in the Grand Caymans. I went online and booked a trip. I paid for everything and was in the process of lining up our ride there. That’s when Jessica let me know we somehow got our trip booked in Puerto Rica! I apologized for doing so. Then Jessica asked if we wanted to go ahead and cancel. Of course we did and she graciously allowed us to do that… in less than a day of our scheduled trip. She said it may take a week or two to go back into our account, but by the time we were done chatting, the money was already refunded back into our account. I think this speaks volumes of the character of this company. If this is how they treat you when you cancel a trip, I can only imagine how it is when you are actually there. Thank you Jessica and thank you Pure Adventures. I look forward to attending one of your trips some day soon! Steve DJames_P
