This was a fantastic day trip and I would recommend it to anyone who would like to go. It was well organised, everything was prompt in terms of timing, and the tour guide and driver were extremely lovely, kind and helpful (Nina and Bogdan). The places we visited were very picturesque, Nina had a mountain of knowledge, there wasn’t a question she was asked and she didn’t know the answer to. The place we stopped for lunch was unreal, authentic and delicious food (this is a separate cost but very cheap). The trip is a long one, but you’re warned about this before you book it. Plus if you feel tired, there is time to sleep in between the drives (especially the drive home as it’s dark). Let’s put it this way, even after the 12-13 hour day we had, we still managed to come back to our apartment and feel alive. Highly recommend it and if I was to return to Serbia, I would use this tour company again to book day trips. This is one of the best day tours we're ever done! This is one of the best day tours we're ever done! Our guide Jelena was personable and knowledgeable and made the day interesting and enjoyable. Our first stop was @ Golubac Fortress....great restoration job on this strategic fort at the entrance to Djerdap Gorge. The speed boat trip up the Danube to view Trajan's Plaque and the other notable sites was memorable as were the views/photos we took from the Iron Gate Gorge. We were impressed by Lepenski vi....significant archaelogical site....just 8000 years old! Our final stop was to view Boljetin River Canyon....all in all a wonderful, memorable day. Thank you Jelena :))What a day at Belgrade in Serbia.Visiting the Golubac fortress,Danube river cruise,Statue of Decebalus, Novak cafe restaurant. Firstly, the tour starts at around 8:30am and finishes at around 7:30pm, the guides pick you up and drop you off at your hotel. This is one of the best planned tours that we have been on and the tour guides Nina and Sasha were extremely knowledgeable but also highly personable. There are several blocks of time where you are being driven to a new location, the first takes around 1hr 40 minutes then a couple at 1 hour, this time flew by as we chatted with our guides non stop. Nina was helping my wife learn Serbian words and Sasha was answering my questions on fishing. The tour included visiting Golubać fortress a 14th century medieval fortified town on the south side of the Danube River and overlooks the widest crossing on the Danube river of about 7km, a great speedboat ride (the captain was great) down the Danube where you get to see close up the Stone Statue of Decebal Rex, last king of Dacia, which is the tallest rock sculpture (40 m) in Europe, balloon stations Pena and Varnica (a manual system informing boats whether they can continue down the Danube of wait for a larger ship to pass) and Trajan's Plaque (Tabula Traiana), which is a memorial dedicated to Roman Emperor Trajan. To top off the tour we went to a great restaurant and then to Lepenski Vir, which is an archeological site and is one of the oldest urban settlements in Europe, populated around 8000 years ago. Our final stop was the Boljetinska river Canyon, which shows the complete geological history of Serbia from Palaeozoic to Cenozoic ages. I rate this tour 5 stars not only for the content, the well executed planning but also for the tour guides Nina and Sasha!
