That was an amazing and interesting boat tour. The boat itself is very beautiful and the experience on board really unique. The fact of being on a boat tour around the fjords around Siglo and getting to know the history and stories around them makes this experience a very special one. We were also very lucky and got to see whales and puffins! So we can say it was a very complete tour: history, stories, birds and whales, everything leaded by very friendly people who are very professional and attentive with costumers. The best way to enjoy beautiful Siglufjörður. Highly recommend to sign up for this 3 hour sailing trip, listening to local tales and fish. Róbert, Gunnar and Ólöf, thank you again for a fantastic tour!

We live in Iceland and love boat trips, so we were really looking forward to this! The weather was lovely and seeing Siglunes and Siglufjörður from an ocean perspective on a wooden boat was amazing. Guides are an important part of any travel experience, and Meg is a really great one, warm, welcoming and knowledgeable. While the one teenager in the family loved hearing about the history of Siglufjörður, the other enjoyed the fishing part in particular and now wants to go back and do more sea angling for cod. I was hoping we would be able to go around the fjord and see Héðinsfjörður, but the sea can be rough out there, so we stayed within Siglufjörður viewing distance. The whole trip was just very fun, relaxed and friendly, with international tourists as well as (Siglufjörður!) locals on board. We highly recommend! My wife and I come often to Siglufjörður as it is one of our favorite places in Iceland. My wife and I come often to Siglufjörður as it is one of our favorite places in Iceland. Although it is one of most northern towns in Iceland, it often gets sunny summers and winters, allowing for great hiking, and skiing, both mountain and slalom. We know the area well but both of us wanted to see the village and the mountain range from the sea. We decided to do the 2,5 hr ride around Siglufjörður bay with Soti Summit. We had heard about them from a friend and they have a good reputation. We had an excellent guide, Megan “Meg” who was fun and very knowledgeable about the history of Siglufjörður and the peninsula as a whole. Our experienced Icelandic Captain Gunni, sailed us to Siglunes on the east point of the fjord opening and then we travelled across to the west side to Strákar mountain and tunnel. Last we stopped at three locations in the fjord for fishing, had a great time sea angling for cod. Captain Gunni on the boat Örkin (The Arch) knew where to find the best catches. All in all a very nice trip on a great wooden boat in a spectacular location in one of my favorite places that we finally got to experience in a new way from the sea. Highly recommended trip.
