A fantastic day out and the best part of our trip to Bordeaux! We visited three different chateaus and walked around the historic town of Saint-Émilion. Our tour guide Clement was really friendly and informative. The whole day had a friendly, relaxed feel about it. Clement also gave us some good bar, restaurant and tourist spot recommendations. The first chateau was Chateau Carbonnieux where we got a real feel for the wine-making process on a large scale. We then moved on to a smaller, family-run chateau and had lunch in the courtyard... it was idyllic! And lunch was a fantastic spread - meats, cheese, salads, quiche - and plenty of wine of course! In St Émilion we had a casual walk around the city guided by Clement and then stopped for some sparkling wine in the Cloisters. The final stop was quite quick at what seemed to be a more modern chateau. Everyone we met along the way was very friendly and extremely informative... we're wine experts now! The whole trip was fantastic and they did not skimp on the wine (which I am glad of - given that the tour is fairly pricey) All in all it was a great day out and I would easily recommend it to any one. This experience was the highlight of our trip to Bordeaux. Our guide, Yan, was incredible and was a wealth of knowledge. The wines were incredible and the lunch was delicious as well. Highly recommend this tour!

The full day tour with Jonathan was one of the highlights of our trip to Bordeaux! Jon was a terrific guide - from his knowledge about wines, to the amazing vineyards selected, his fun nature, (beware of selfies he may take of himself ;)) and ability to adapt as needed (i.e., the coffee stop we all desperately needed!) As we walked through Saint-Emilion, it felt like we were with a celebrity, given how many people knew him :) On the vineyards selected - they were all lovely and offered such different experiences - and we likely would not have known about them unless we did this tour. And the picnic lunch was delicious! Highly recommend spending a day with Bordeaux Wine Trails! We had an absolutely perfect day in Bordeaux touring vineyards, drinking wine, and meeting new friends. We had an absolutely perfect day in Bordeaux touring vineyards, drinking wine, and meeting new friends. We went to three very unique chateaus and were warmly welcomed at each. Lunch was lovely, and we ended the day in St. Emilion with a tour of the old city and then a final tasting at my favorite vineyard of the three. Our guide, Yan, was very knowledgeable and engaging…I learned a lot from him. We were also fortunate to have a fun group…lots of laughter and toasts! Very highly recommend this tour. This was amazing. The Great Escape Experience wine tasting tour from Bordeaux Wine Trails was everything we hoped it would be and then some! We were in France for two weeks for our honeymoon and can honestly say that our day spent with our tour guide Yan and the rest of the group was one of the top highlights of our trip. Yan was extremely friendly, easy going, and extremely knowledgeable about wine and the region. We were never pressured to buy anything- just along for an exciting ride with all the wine we could hope for. I learned more about wine on this tour than I ever knew in my life. More importantly, it was a fun and relaxed atmosphere throughout the trip. It felt like a day having fun with friends while enjoying amazing wine. And all of the wine lived up the hype! Each stop on the tour was very special and unique, too. We went to the beautiful Chateau Carbonnieux where we walked the vineyards tasting grapes, saw workers inspecting barrels, admired trees planted by Thomas Jefferson, and toured the beautiful facility before getting multiple tastings in a unique tasting room. Our next stop at the Chateau de Reignac included a tasting in an ancient building that used to be a carrier pigeon tower and a wine elevator that brought our bottles and glasses up to us. We also had a dream-like lunch under the cover of kiwi and vines that was perfect with lots of tasty food. From there we got a tour of the amazing medieval village of St. Emilion that included a tasting of the region's sparkling wine, cremant. While still in St. Emilion, we made one final stop at local winery Chateau Close des Abbesse where we had three more great tastings and met a very friendly winemaker whose family ran the vineyard. Yan was always courteous, had great stories, and really made the day special. Even the rides from vineyard to vineyard were full of fun. We had originally postponed our trip twice due to Covid-19 and waited about a year and a half to finally experience Bordeaux Wine Trails. It was well worth the wait! You will get your money's worth and memories of a lifetime. Thanks so much, Bordeaux Wine Trails! You made our day with you amazing!
