The two hours I spent in a sidecar as Rob took me to the Cavell Glacier made my whole trip to Jasper. I had stayed at the local Fairmont which was kind of dumpy then I got into the sidecar and had a real blast. The weather was certainly not what some might consider perfect but somehow it just didn’t matter. We took a lovely route and took time to really explore the glacier area. Seven weeks touring around Alaska and Canada and this was a real highlight of our trip! After being kitted out in our “biker gear” we took to the road on our Harley Davidson bike and sidecar. It was just the best experience and so much fun. Half way through and after a short rest stop and lots of photos with the bike, we swapped positions, so each had a turn riding in the sidecar and pillion. Stanley was our driver and was just so interesting and friendly. Very professional company, the guys were great fun getting us into the gear and looking after us. My husband and I went on the 2 hour tour. How I wished we had booked the three hour! Riding in the sidecar was a lot of fun, and even though it was raining on and off during our trip, our guide made sure we stayed warm and dry. The heated jacket and chaps they gave us really helped! Beautiful scenery and lots of wildlife, including two black bears that were roaming on the road and a herd of elk (we had to help a hiker "walk past" the herd to make sure that he was not attacked by a nervous mother elk) and big horn sheep.
