On this Full Day Tour, you will get to know the largest canyon in Latin America, located in the Aparados da Serra National Park, in the city of Cambará do Sul. In the beautiful setting, which was used for the filming of the miniseries “Casa das Sete Mulheres”, you will witness the beautiful millennial basaltic stroke, approximately 700 meters deep and six kilometers long. Two easy trails through the edges allow to see the walls covered by Araucaria: the Vertice (3km, 45 minutes, round trip) and the Elbow (6km, two hours, round trip). At the end of the tour, a delicious picnic awaits you!

Witness the beautiful millennial basaltic stroke, approximately 700 meters deep and six kilometers long. Two easy trails through the edges allow to see the walls covered by Araucaria: the Vertice (3km, 45 minutes, round trip) and the Elbow (6km, two hours, round trip).

Stop At: Cânion Itaimbezinho Trilha do Cotovelo, Rodovia RS 429, KM 18 - Cambará do Sul, RS, 95480-000, Brazil
The Cotovelo (Elbow) trail is 6.3 km long (round trip) on a completely flat path, with a walk that takes an average of 2:30h (round trip).
People of all ages can take the Elbow trail, which starts at the park's headquarters. Most of the path is made by an old park road, the rest of the path is made by the edge of the canyon.
Arriving at the first viewpoint, it is possible to see the classic image of the Itaimbezinho walls. Then the trail continues to follow the canyon where you can see views from other angles, with emphasis on the Elbow, which gives the name to the trail.

The Vertice Trail also starts at the park's headquarters, on a shorter route, 1.4 km long. It takes an average of 45 minutes of walking (round trip) and the level is easy and can be done by people of all ages.
Along its route there are lookouts where it is possible to see the Cascata das Andorinhas, a fall of approximately 200 meters high. The fall is formed by Arroio Perdizes which later becomes the Boi River and cuts through the rest of the canyon.
In the second viewpoint it is possible to see the Véu da Noiva Waterfall, with a fall with 289 meters high. Its waters are formed by Arroio Preá, which helps in the formation of the Rio do Boi, a river that flows at the bottom of the canyon.
At the third viewpoint, you can see the two waterfalls and the beginning of the Itaimbezinho Canyon, which is in the shape of a vertex and gives rise to the name of the trail. At the end of the trails, it's time to replenish your energy with a tasty picnic.

- Departure from Canela (Matriz Square, 69 - room 09 - Downtown): 7:50 am

Fomos acompanhados pela guia Cristiane nesse tour que leva 2 horas para chegar no local. Fomos de van e chegando lá, logo iniciamos a trilha mais longa na qual percorremos 6km (ida e volta). Depois fazemos a trilha menor que são 1,5km (ida e volta). Tudo muito tranquilo, cada um caminhando no seu ritmo e ainda temos banheiros disponíveis ao longo da trilha. Ao final nos foi servido um lanche com frutas (maçã e banana), cuca e sanduiches de queijo e salame. O visual é lindo e dá pra fazer lindas fotos. A trilha e tranquila e minha mãe de 76 anos fez o percurso numa boa.351thainarag

acho que vale super apena, a trilha e tranquila e bem gostosa pois e bem arborizada! uma pena que não conseguir ver os canyons pois estava neblina , não tivemos sorte e olha que no dia estava um sol mas a natureza e imprevisível! mas voltaria a gramado e fria dnv esse passeio pq a vista e linda

O passeio vale muito a pena, pois o visual é lindo e a caminhada é uma delícia. O que tornou a experiência do grupo mais especial ainda foi a maestria do nosso guia Mauri, que tem a sensibilidade de filosofar e fazer brincadeiras na medida certa, algo raro e precioso de se encontrar. Tudo perfeito!! Eu tinha lido comentários anteriores e levei muita água e lanche, mas não precisei mais do que uma garrafinha de água! O guia muito querido! Distribuiu lanche e suco para o piquenique, tudo muito bom, paramos antes de entrar no parque para lanchar e na volta fizemos outra parada!...

A paisagem e o guia são bons. O parque está com cercas podres na contenção que chega ser até perigoso ter uma queda , estrada péssima, piquenique ruim.

Amei esse Tour. Viagem ótima. O guia turístico Mauri é muito agradável e atencioso com todo o grupo. Tivemos o privilégio de fazer as duas trilhas disponíveis do parque. Trilhas sem nenhuma dificuldade de concluí-las e ambas nos presenteia com uma vista simplesmente incrível do Cânion. O piqueniq...
