Stop At: Rodoni Castle, Cape of Rodon Albania
Cape of Rodon is located on the coast of Adriatic Sea on the west part of Albania. It is the biggest Cape in Albania. In the north of the Cape, streams the river of Ishmi. Start hiking toward Rodoni Castle where you will visit the Castle of Scanderbeg, which was built by him in 1451-1452. This castle was used by the Army of Scanderbeg to control Adriatic Sea, from the invasion of Venetians. The walls of the Castle were 10-12 M high and 3-6 m wide.

Pass By: St. Anthony Church, Cape of Rodon, Durres Albania
We will visit The Church of St. Anthony which was built in the XIV-XV centuries and is still possible to visit now days. It is one of the 4 Monasteries that used to exist before the castle was build. The church of St. Anthony belongs to the Roman-Gothic architecture, which is seen at the sharp bows of the structure.

You have to pay 200Lek to get there, and thats ok. You get to visit the church, but the 21.july 2022 somebody closed the road to the castle! The People working there said they did not know this...this is not good. They probebly want people to pay even more to get to the castle. It is not private ...

The People working there said they did not know this...this is not good. They probebly want people to pay even more to get to the castle. It is not private property, they did not built the castle! It is wrong to demand more money to walk the road. Therefore it was a waist of time going there. Do not bother going there. The 14 km of the road there is terrible and the beach is full of trash and wasps anyway.Monica G

This was an amazing excursion. The tour guides were so kind and made you feel like you are friends. The views on the entire trip are breathtaking. And the lunch was so good! I highly recommend that you book with this tour group and this trip. Only warning: this is a difficult hike. Wear the corr...

Los ging es im klimatisierten Minivan, mit Fahrer und unserem Tourguide Mario. Wir legten an verschiedenen Aussichtspunkten einen Zwischenstopp ein um Fotos zu machen und den atemberaubenden Ausblick zu genießen. Anschließend begann unsere Wanderung rund um das Kap von Rodon. Mario zeigte uns imm...
Los ging es im klimatisierten Minivan, mit Fahrer und unserem Tourguide Mario. Wir legten an verschiedenen Aussichtspunkten einen Zwischenstopp ein um Fotos zu machen und den atemberaubenden Ausblick zu genießen. Anschließend begann unsere Wanderung rund um das Kap von Rodon. Mario zeigte uns immer wieder besondere Pflanzen, die dort wuchsen und reichte oft eine helfende Hand, auf schwierigen Wegstellen, immer darauf bedacht, dass auch unsere Kinder (11 und 13) problemlos mithalten konnten. Wir schlüpften in einen alten Aussichtsbunker aus Sowjetzeiten, konnten die wunderschöne Natur bestaunen und schließlich ging es an den Klippen entlang durchs Meer, das uns etwa bis zu den Oberschenkeln reichte, zu einem wunderschönen Strandabschnitt, mit einem Restaurant, in dem wir eine Pause einlegten. Weiter ging es zu einer Burgruine. Anschließend besichtigten wir die kleine Kirche (St. Anthony) und dann ging es weiter zu einem etwas größeren Strand, mit weißem Sand und türkisblauen Wasser, an dem wir Gelegenheit fanden zu baden. Abschließend durften wir mit Mario und unserem Fahrer in einem Restaurant die einheimische Küche genießen. Mario übernahm die Bestellung und stellte sicher, dass wir viele verschiedene Gerichte probieren konnten. Der Tag war wirklich ein kleines Abenteuer und wir würden uns jederzeit wieder mit Mario auf Wanderung begeben. Unfassbar netter Führer, sehr informativ gestaltet und unglaublich tolle Landschaft, die wir alleine niemals zu sehen bekommen hätten. Wir haben uns durchgehend wohl gefühlt und möchten uns nochmal ganz herzlich bedanken! Absolute Weiterempfehlung!christian4127

Sehr schöne Landschaft mit fantastischen Ausblicken, schönen Stränden und Weingut mit Restaurant (sehr gutes Essen ) und eigenem See mit Kajakverleih. Auf alle Fälle Badesachen mitnehmen.
