The guides worked to make sure we all gad a good time. I was traveling alone and got to sit up front with the captain! He was the best!

Having just got off the Interislander it was short walk to E-Ko Tours office on the waterfront We got on a very nicely presented boat and away up the sounds for our Dolphin Tour Paul the skipper was most engaging and very knowledgeable so we saw a number of verities of Dolphin, Penguins and bird life. Had the most amazing trip and got the most amazing photos. Rob Pine renown photographer was on board as well so we also got guidance from him What a trip I would highly recommend it for anyone to have wildlife right at the boat was exhilarating This is a must do!!! We enjoyed a trip during September headed towards Motuara Island. A great crew informed us as we went of the bird and sea life in the Marlborough Sounds constantly on the look out for things for us to see and experience. Sadly we didn't see any dolphins on our trip but got up fairly close to various penguins and bird life, whilst respecting their habitat. At Motuara we left the boat for a walk to the top of the hill and awesome views and on the way were able to see little blue penguin nesting boxes and hear the sound of lovely birdsong. An excellent trip, crew, boat, drinks & nibbles - highly recommend.
This tour was outstanding. Wonderful sights of birds, some history-telling, and close-up dolphin encounter. The only quibble is the oh-so-seriousness of the two person crew. I got the impression that they like animals more than people. Take a lesson from the dolphins, guys, and lighten up....
