We had an amazing tour today!! Our guide Ali was so kind, so knowledgeable, and took great care of us. He showed us all the sights and knew how to get the best photos too! Our driver Mohammed was early and waiting for us outside our hotel with cold water in the car. His driving skills are impressive!! We had a very limited time on our layover and yet I feel like we saw and did so much, and we still got back to the airport 15 minutes ahead of schedule. I can’t recommend Ali and Mohammed enough! I wish we had more time in Morocco, but now I know that when we return we will be contacting them for another tour.My boyfriend called it the best layover tour he had ever been on. My boyfriend called it the best layover tour he had ever been on. Once we left the airport, we experienced nothing less of a first class service. Communications with Amine was seamless; he arrived within 2 minutes once I told him we were outside. Inside the car, the seats were spacious and there were bottled water left out for us. Let’s not forget there’s also WiFi in the car too! Our first stop was Hassan II Mosque. Amine didn’t go in with us but it was fairly simple to buy your own ticket at the machine. (Pro-tip: Just buy the Mosque ticket, no need to buy the Museum) The mosque was gorgeous and the group tour guide we were with was very knowledgeable. We learned so much about the mosque. After exploring the Mosque, we stopped by a boardwalk where we can see the Mosque on the other side. It’s a nice viewpoint for photos. Only thing is I wished I had Dirhams to buy fresh juice some vendors were selling! Next stop was lunch time. We haven’t eaten yet so we were hungry. Amine dropped us off at a restaurant that overlooks the Atlantic Ocean and the mosque. Food was yummy but since it was our first meal here, we can’t really say if it’s comparable to other Moroccan restaurants. Once we fed ourselves, we returned to the car and our tour continued. Amine drove us around neighborhoods like the Beverly Hills of Casablanca and palaces owned by Princes of other countries. Next stop was Mohammed Square, which was surrounded by government buildings and pigeons. The pigeons gave me Barcelona vibes where they also have a pigeon park. Before we got dropped off at the train station, we had a chance to explore one of their markets for 20 minutes. All in all, it was a wonderful experience. A few suggestions is to 1) allow the customers a few choices of restaurants to choose from and 2) cater to what the customer is most interested in like architecture vs Medina shopping so the time spent at each stop can be adjusted accordingly or skipped entirely. I had no interest in stepping out just to take a photo in front of a church that looked nice. We have that everywhere in the world. Otherwise, a great layover experience with excellent service from Amine.I must say this was absolutely amazing!! We did a layover tour of Casablanca on a Sunday. I must say this was absolutely amazing!! We did a layover tour of Casablanca on a Sunday. Let’s start off with the prior to pick up. Any questions or concerns I had, they were quickly addressed. I was contacted the day before my tour and my guide/driver Amine introduced himself along with a picture of the car he was picking us up in and instructions on how to exit the airport. We had to check our bags in but Amine checked on us shortly after arrival to make sure we landed ok. Once leaving the airport, he was there holding a sign with my name and introduced himself. Such a professional and polite gentleman! The car was so clean and neat. He had water waiting for us which was a nice touch in addition to the complimentary wifi! Once in the car he explained what we would be seeing and gave a back story on Casablanca. In the short layover time, we were able to see some amazing sites such as tour the mosque, Rick’s Cafe, and Mohamed Square to name a few. He even took us to a lovely restaurant where I was able to get some mint tea (which he showed me how to do it the Moroccan way) and chocolate crepes…yummy! After all the sites, he still managed to get us to the airport on time for our flight back to the US. Spending a week in Morocco was good but Amine made my short layover great and now I wish I had more time in Casablanca. We will definitely be coming back but next time with a group to share these amazing experiences. We loved our layover tour with Amine!
