We had an amazing day and highly recommend it to everyone who wants to explore the Costa Maya region! We felt really welcome right from the beginning, everyone involved was so friendly and made sure we had a great time. The tour is very professionally organized, from pick-up at the port and check-in, to transportation as well as the tour itself. Our guide was very well informed and shared interesting insights to Mexican and Mayan culture, not only during the visit at the ruins but also during transportation inside the van. He answered our various questions and was a great host and guide. We were travelling as a couple and were on the tour with a family (ages between 12 and 80) and highly appreciate how everyone's need were fulfilled in such a welcoming and friendly way. Thank you! We can't wait to be back to keep on exploring! You can stop looking for any other tours if you've found this one. I went the first week in August as a shore excursion and im immensely happy I did so. You can stop looking for any other tours if you've found this one. I went the first week in August as a shore excursion and im immensely happy I did so. This excursion was probably one of the highlights of my trip! With the serene views of the lagoon and the rich history within the ruins, this excursion would be worth every bang for all your buck. Not to mention the immensely knowledgeable tour guides you get( shoutout to David and Eliott) would elevate your trip. David and Eliott ensured everyones comfortability and entertained us with their stories of Mayan history and their own personal lives. The food they provided was delicious and the drinks were strong haha. My only complaint would be the too short of a time we had onshore as I wanted to spend as long as I can on this tour.Unfortunately they left us. Unfortunately they left us. This was to be the trip for my son who graduated from high school and will be studying environmental science. The instructions were not clear. As soon as we were allowed off the boat we made our way to the designated location. We had to ask several times where to go. When we finally figured it out they had left us. The folks at Costa Maya were so helpful and let us use their phone to call the person. She would not come and get us and would not refund our $700 plus dollars. There were 6 of us in our group. We ended up paying for another group on the spot. We had plenty of time to see the Mayan ruins and go to the beach. There was no reason they could not have come to get us. Toucan Tours was so kind and worked with us. The price was far better. I would not advise this company
