We can highly recommend the chagga village tour with one bike and especially with our guide Hillary. He is passionate about mountainbiking and supporting the people with his knowledge about bikes and saving the environment. He explained a lot about Tansania and the life in the chagga villages. We had a lot of fun and we had the possibility to try real local food, fresh fruits and banana beer. In this way we could also support the people in the villages. During this tour you will get a true insight into the village life and it is not just a show for tourists. Regarding mountain biking itself, the first 10-15 km are more or less uphill through coffee and banana plantations and the villages and afterwards it’s a really nice downhill ride. We will definetely somewhen come back for a Kili Mountainbike tour. Not to forget is that one bike is supporting the villages with teaching about saving the environment, repairing bikes, organising recycle tours...which is very impressive and has to be supported! We had a great MTB trip through the chagga villages and were so close to community and the people living there as well. Hillary is s great MTB guide and full of passion for cycling and the kili community. I totally recommend this tour with the onebike team. One Bike is a small shop that offer a great set of adventures. Kilimanjaro area is wild and green and i spent a great day cycling and visiting the villages from a local point of view. Definitely better than all the other tour operators that just want money. At One Bike you can feel the community.
