We were also on the brewery tour yesterday and it was disappointing to pay approx $50pp to be driven to 2 breweries and one tap house with no tours included or sightseeing on route. The only plus was our driver Anthony who was lovely and did his best for us and the good company of the couple who joined us but the tour is not worth the money and it was even more disappointing to not receive the complimentary beer that was part of the package when we returned to FitzgeraldsDanny was a great guide; we were the only ones on the tour that day/time and were treated to a private tour of the city with Danny customizing it as we went, based on our preferences. Fun and so informative!

If you want to get a glimpse of Charlotte’s ever growing microbrewery scene take this tour. Got started at Fitzgeralds, a local Irish pub with a free beer from one of their seasonal drafts. Our group of 7 visited breweries toward the Southend- Triple C, Wooden Robot, and Unknown. Along the way in our emissions free cart, our host Barbara gave us interesting facts about the Queen City. There are over 40 microbreweries in the Charlotte area. I’d start with this tour to get broken into this scene.
