What to expect

Stop At: Fairbanks Ice Museum, 500 2nd Ave, Fairbanks, AK 99701-4729
After being picked up from your Fairbanks or North Pole hotel, you will be transported to the Fairbanks Ice Museum for a guided tour and to witness champion ice carvers at work. Then sit back, relax and enjoy the 60 mile (97 kms) journey out to Chena Hot Springs Resort. Keep your eyes peeled on the passing landscape for wildlife that might include a moose, beaver or fox.
Once you arrive at Chena Hot Springs Resort, check out the activities available or take a stroll in the expansive grounds. You will be shown to our table in the restaurant where you can enjoy some lunch and hot or cold beverages (optional and not included in price).
Spend the rest of the afternoon soaking in the healing waters of the hot springs or wandering the surrounding trails enjoying Alaskan nature.
Rejoin your group a little after midnight and return to Fairbanks, stopping along the way to view the norther lights if they appear.

After arriving at the resort, you'll be taken to the restaurant for a bite of lunch where you can sample some home grown Alaskan fare (optional and not included in price). Enjoy a hot or cold beverage at the bar or don your bathing suit and head to the hot springs. The revitalizing mineral water soothes muscles with its warm temperatures of 106 degrees F (41 degrees C) year-round.
Stay in the hot springs, or hit one of the many trails around the resort in the chance you might see wildlife, or just enjoy the beauty of Alaska's great outdoors.
You can also take an optional tour of the resort's greenhouse and geothermal plant to learn more about how the resort is generating its own electricity and aiming to be more self-sustaining.

Additional information
- Please bring bathing suits, shower slipper, bath towels, at least 2 quarter for each locker and picture id's for the ice museum.
- Not wheelchair accessible
- Children must be accompanied by an adult. Please no children under 5.
- Stroller accessible
- Children under 18 and pregnant guests aren't allowed in the outside pool of the Hot Springs. There is an inside area for everyone to use.
- Cancellation for a full refund is possible if the minimum capacity is not reached or due to dangerous road conditions.
- Most travelers can participate
- Our vans are not wheelchair accessible. However, we have enough room for a foldable one and the Hot Springs are wheelchair accessible. Please contact us before booking.
- To be in compliance with the CDC and the State of Alaska: Guests are not required to wear face masks, but may if they wish. We also urge you to review the updated Health information for Alaska at https://health.alaska.gov/dph/Epi/id/Pages/COVID-19/
- This experience requires a minimum number of travelers. If it’s canceled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be offered a different date/experience or a full refund
