The driver had the microphone on for the first part and then turned it off so he could tell his life story to the person in the passenger seat. The rest of us just sat there staring into the woods. Evey once in a while we would pass another van and exchange information about what they did not see. In 2019 you could use radios to do this avoiding wasting time driving to a spot someone just saw nothing. We get you can't guarantee seeing a bear, but tell us more about the area or something local. That's what we paid for.Disappointing excursion. Only saw one bear. Spent the remaining hours just driving around looking for another one. The guide was also negative towards other guides that seemed unprofessional.

great trip - Stu Mills, our guide, is the cultural leader of the Raven Tribe and was outstanding..The trip was beautiful, informative and we saw a Bear which the ship tour did not see. Obviously sighting Bear is not guaranteed but Stu knew where to go and even had cleared a trail to a special, potential viewing site. It was a great tour and well worth the priceWe had a tribal elder leading our small tour. What a fabulous way to see the area. We saw four bears, including one juvenile grizzly bear. The scenery is beautiful, and the history of the area is interesting. Great off the cruise ship tour!

There were six of us on this beautiful tour of Icy Strait. The guide, Stu, was very informative. We didn't see any bears, but the forest, the trees, the shoreline, were all wonderful to see. I would definitely suggest this trip being done in the early morning, if possible. The bears are more likely to be viewed, but then again, they are wildlife and come and go as they please. We all did enjoyed this tour. Thank you for a great afternoon.Didn't see 1 bear in 3 hours even though we were with one of the elders of the village.very expensive trip for no rewards.
