The World Wonders tour with Mexico Kan Tours was amazing!! It was the best experience of our week-long trip to Tulum. The tour was well-organized from pick up in the morning to drop off that evening. Our guide Cesar was fantastic. Extremely knowledgeable - you could tell he loves the culture and history that he shared with us on the tour. He was also a great tour leader - he had a good sense for what the group wanted from the tour, gave us time to move at our own pace, and was very respectful of the local folks we interacted with throughout the day. I highly recommend this tour and this tour company.Amazing trip! Informative, interesting and rich. Best guide ever! Shared a lot of new knowledge in very interesting and funny mode. I highly recommend it.

I wanted to rate each part of the excursion separately because it wasn't so much the tour itself that was disappointing but certain aspects of the locations. The Tour: Our tour guide was Joselyn and she was absolutely amazing! She had a ton of energy and you could really tell the passion she felt for the Yucatan culture. She was very informative along the whole trip and had a great personality. Our group had some trying people in it and she handled them very professionally. Chichen Itza: The ruins are absolutely stunning but the amount of vendors surrounding the property was really annoying. There are hundreds of them and it destroys the atmosphere of the ruins entirely. You can't walk anywhere except the center of the grounds without being bombarded with sellers harassing you to buy one of their 'unique' items, that is the exact same item on 14 other tables. Then when you are leaving the ruins you are herded through a flea market with yet again the exact same items for sale and people bombarding you the whole way. If you are looking to experience history and Mayan ruins, I suggest you go to Tulum. Chichen Itza is incredible to see but it will definitely be ruined by the vendors. Cenote: This cenote was incredible! It's was almost a completely covered cave and it was gorgeous. We had a ton of fun swimming around and jumping off of the landing they built. It was really well kept and absolutely beautiful! This was the highlight of our excursions. Valladolid: The lunch we had here was delicious! I suggest the local pork dish. The town itself had beautiful architecture and there was a pretty park in the main square. Unfortunately, this was also slightly ruined by the amount of vendors (selling the exact same stuff that the Chichen Itza vendors were selling) taking up most of the park so you couldn't really walk it peacefully. We weren't able to go into the church but the outside was stunning! All in all, the tour guide was amazing and she honestly made up for the disappointments in Chichen Itza / Valladolid. We highly suggest Mexico Kan Tours but maybe not this particular tour.I booked the tour of Chichen Itza, Cenote and Valladolid through my hotel Kempton Aluna. I booked the tour of Chichen Itza, Cenote and Valladolid through my hotel Kempton Aluna. It was a small group, 10 people and our tour guide was Alonso. He spoke excellent English and was very knowledgeable about the history of the area and just a lovely person. He remembered everyone's names, ensured nobody was lost and gave us free time to walk around Chichen Itza and Valladolid. The tour was really well organised and the food was a proper sit down lunch in a restaurant in Valladolid. The group got on really well. I'd definitely recommend this tour and as a solo traveller I was made to feel really welcome. This tour was fantastic way to see and learn so much about Chichen Itza as a day trip from Tulum. This tour was fantastic way to see and learn so much about Chichen Itza as a day trip from Tulum. Hotel pick-up was on time. Cesar was our guide and his passion for history and archeology really shone: his enthusiasm really made the tour so interesting and engaging. I learned a TON, not only about the sweeping history of the Yucatan peninsula, but also about the geology and flora/fauna of the area. There's plenty of time at Chichen Itza itself, and the rest is really a bonus. Lunch at Valladolid was so delicious and upscale. The time we had to explore isn't quite enough to really explore the town, but is a nice break to stretch your legs after all the driving. And the cenote was a perfect way to end the day! It was a really hot day, but the cenote was shaded and perfectly cool and refreshing. The day leaves you pretty tired, but in the best way. I highly recommend this tour and Cesar as a tour guide!
