Brilliant day - Vincent was incredibly knowledgable, really easy to learn from, happy to answer questions and very considerate of walking around the site in the heat! The cenote was a lovely refreshing break too. Plus Alex was a great driver and made the whole day easy. Would highly recommend!

Amazing place that is jaw dropping! Amazing place that is jaw dropping! Vincente was an incredible guide -his English was very good and he is very knowledgeable. He shared photos of our destination with its history while we traveled to the ruin. Alex was a great driver and purchased our tix so there was no line to wait in. He had cold beverages and cold washcloths for our return to the already cooled off van. They are a great team!Excellent private tour. Excellent private tour. Early departure from our Merida hotel helped beat the crowds that eventually appear at Chichen Itza. Our half-Mayan guide, Raul, spoke excellent English and gave an interesting presentation on Mayan cosmology, culture and traditions on the ride there. His explanations of the symbology represented in the reliefs on the pyramids, temples and other structures really enhanced the experience of visiting the ruins of this magnificent Mayan city. After a buffet lunch of Yucatán cuisine, we got to enjoy a refreshing dip in the cool waters of the Ik-Kil Cenote, again one step ahead of the crowds of visitors to follow. Roger, our driver, skillfully navigated our return trip to Merida by a different route that passed through several small villages established around cenotes.Had a great experience. Had a great experience. Our guide, Vicente, was very knowledgeable about the Mayan culture and history of the site. We learned a lot. They picked us up in their van at our hotel in Merida, and it was about a 2-hr drive. Vicente spent most of the drive answering our (my) questions about the history of the Mayan culture. All tickets including lunch was covered, and having that covered in advance enabled us to skip a fairly long line at the entrance to Chichen Itza. We went on a Friday and there were quite a few tourists at the site, but it's a large area with lots of ruins so people were spread out. We left Merida at 7am and arrived at Chichen Itza around 9am. I'm glad we decided to go fairly early. Vicente did a great job describing the different structures, and explaining the glyphs and carvings. The Ik Kil cenote was a great experience as well. It was a little touristy, but had nice accommodations with dressing room, lockers, life vests, and restaurant and bar, and the cenote itself is awesome! We ate lunch at the restaurant at the cenote (covered in the cost) - it was buffet style and was ok, but you go for the cenote experience, not for the food. The water in the cenote was cool and refreshing on a hot summer day! Overall, it was a great experience!
