One never knows what to expect when travelling alone, and I try to not approach the experience with trepidation. I am delighted that I chose to place my confidence in Cherish Travel & Tours. To begin, until you have embarked on a Chobe visit, you cannot appreciate the extraordinary amount of advance coordination Cherish undertakes to make this a success, from local transportation to each transfer along the way (including a border crossing with a "tires and feet" decontamination!). Emmanuel explained the process and each transition was accompanied by an introduction, to keep me at ease. (The usd$50 KAZA visa obtained from the airport's diplomatic immigration stand speeds border crossings and avoids extra fees.) All other fees were paid on my behalf by Cherish. The timing of the trip has been perfect--as the heat and dry weather of this season draws the animals to the water's edge. This means they aren't hiding as they tend to do when all is lush! They were virtually lining the roadway and river banks throughout the park, en route to or from drinking water (or, for some, mud baths!) Both the cruise and land portions of the day were filled with an array of animals--the big five (minus leopard but plus giraffe!) and dozens of others. The mid-day meal was a buffet offered at a five-Star Chobe hotel that offers its marina for the river cruises. It was complete, soup to nuts, varied, fresh, and delicious! Emmanuel gave me information about local history and geography, and met every obligation he made, with highest respect. I have added Cherish to my address book and will refer friends and family to book with them with confidence. DO allow them to manage away your planning worries--from airport transfers to attractions! P. S. Dry season is great for game viewing, but less spectacular for Victoria Falls viewing. In choosing the timing of your visit, You will have to decide which is more important, or return for the second attraction as I plan to do--through Cherish! Thanks, Emmanuel, for making possible an unforgettable experience!Excellent service from Livingston into Botswana... the border crossing was fast & very efficient. No lines. Excellent service from Livingston into Botswana... the border crossing was fast & very efficient. No lines. The boat ride was wonderful with up from viewing of the grazing herds and especially those animals that are in and out of the water. Hippos, lizards, lots of crocodiles, elephants, and Buffalo. The land cruisers were open seating. It is hot in October but dry.The boat tour around Lake Chobe was great. We got so close to some of the animals that we could have reached out and touched them.

Very well organised. Easy contact upfront by email with Emmanuel from Cherish Travel. I was picked-up from my hotel at 7 AM sharp, and we then drove to the border with Botswana (1,5 hour drive) where the driver helped with getting through customs (which is very easy!). Then I met my local Botswana tour guide with whom we visited - I was in a group that I met at the border of 6 more tourists - the Chobe national park. Started with a 3-hour River Safari, then a very nice lunch and in the afternoon an impressive 3-hr Game Drive. At 4:30 pm we were back at the border where my driver from Cherish Travel was waiting for me, and at 6 PM sharp we were back at my hotel in Livingstone. Well organised, nice people, everything perfect.Everything was just amazing and felt like a luxury trip. Everything was just amazing and felt like a luxury trip. My wonderful driver Mwangeluia picked me up from the hotel at exactly at 7 in the morning and took me back at 6pm. Having some mobility problems was not a problem as I got all the help I needed during the day. During the game drive we saw all the big animals very closely. Our lunch spot was really beautiful resort and boat cruise was amazing as well. It was one of the best days of my life!
