We had some hours to kill and not a lot of energy, so this seemed like a fun way to spend some time. A wonderfully energetic and fun time with Cecilia and Avram. They are passionate and informative, and we had fun and sweet treats. They took us to places we would never had found alone, we ate all manner of delicious chocs and nuts, drank our first , ( and only ) Bicerin, ate amazing Gelato, learned a lot of History and were totally delighted with the experience. We went back after to a couple of places and bought goodies which we then carried as precious cargo, in the plane home.I cannot praise this tour enough. I cannot praise this tour enough. We felt that we were being guided around Turin by a long standing close friend. Cecilia and her husband Abram were delightful company and great tour guides with exquisite taste in their choice of locations and food tastings. We started in the atmospheric café in the Royal Palace and tasted the wonderful Bicerin (coffee, chocolate and cream) and our first gianduja of the holiday (chocolate flavoured with hazelnut). It was so good, it was not to be our last! We were also taken to a beautiful café for a machiatto (delicious) and two cakes. We were then taken to an excellent chocolate maker to sample amazing chocolates. We were also taken to the most amazing ice cream shop - Alberto Marchetti - where we were told about the local hazelnuts which we sampled in various forms and then sampled two flavours of ice cream of our choice (fantastic ice cream) together with a hot chocolate. In between visits Cecilia showed us the local sights and in her wonderful English provided explanations. At the end of the tour we were delighted that we were taking another tour with Cecilia the next day. It felt like we were seeing a good friend again! We picked this tour at random and have to say we were not at all disappointed. We picked this tour at random and have to say we were not at all disappointed. It really was a fabulous experience and combined the opportunity to see a few sights of Turin with the chance to sample some true chocolate delicacies. Cecilia and Abram were fantastic guides and couldn't have done more. Both myself and my 9yo son absolutely loved the tour and it was just a shame it wasn't longer. This tour really is a must do if you're in Turin! My wife and I went on the tour on our last night in Torino. This tour is a must for anyone who comes to Torino for the chocolate and the history. My wife and I went on the tour on our last night in Torino. This tour is a must for anyone who comes to Torino for the chocolate and the history. We met in a beautiful square in the city center and learned about the history of the city, the history of chocolate, the history of Piedmont hazelnuts, you name it. The chocolate, bicerin, etc. were delicious and the quantity of chocolate that we were able to try left us full and totally satisfied. My only wish is that we had done the tour our first night in Torino, so that we could have had the chance to book another tour with Cecilia and Abram before we departed. It was a truly special experience and the highlight of our trip to Torino.
